  1. I would add, that if you're hit by shrapnel, you're probably not dying real quick. And, with Russia, I would be willing to bet that if you survive bleeding out, you're probably going to get an infection that'll kill too
  2. Youngest girl (3) is definitely a momma's girl. The other two kids were daddy's so I'm cool with it. Last night the power went out and the 3 year old got scared and crawled into bed with us. In the middle of the night and her head was on my chest with her little arms around my neck. Wife "Want me to get her off of you?" Me "I will fucking kill you if you wake her right now"
  3. Keep us posted. I think what you're doing is awesome! I've known two people who did it. One was back to his wait in like a year. And my sil - she became vegan/vegetarian and almost looks too thin now.
  4. I'm not fat or anything, but about a year ago I noticed that I was getting winded/tired from playing with the kids (9 and 3) after just a few minutes. In July, I went for my annual check up (I'm 43) and my cholesterol and some other stuff (blood sugar and such) were way fucking high. Around the same time, my wife got in a car wreck. So I started walking to a from work (about 3 miles total). Just got my blood work back and everything is back in range and I'm feeling alot better. Obviously, the walking helped. But not being able to go get fast food for lunch and bringing something probably was the bigger impact. Also, stopped drinking during the week for the most part, because walking with even a little bit of a hangover sucks ass
  5. I wonder how the ratios at the beginning when Russia had the initiative versus the last 6 months or so
  6. We got a car about a year ago which was our first keyless ignition experiment. Wife left the car running overnight.....
  7. My brother in law was celebrating Maslenitsa, so we wound up going over there. He made a bunch of different crepes. Which were pretty good.
  8. yeah, she is now a he. While I support her in that, it makes it impossible to type correctly. I can't fucking keep it straight anymore
  9. We moved into our house a few days before we got married. One of them stole my wedding band. It was just steel, so not expensive, but I had to go find a new ring right before the wedding. On a side note, my oldest child got married when she was stationed in S. Korea. He was also going to be my best man and got into town a couple of days before. Turns out be both picked out the exact same wedding band.
  10. I did not know this. My In-Laws have the yearly pass and ask us to go at least every couple of weeks. Had I known this part, I wouldn't have feign an illness all those times. Also, being surly, I enjoy how you pointed out "openly."
  11. Going to take the kids (3 and 9)and wife to the Arboretum this Saturday. Looking for something casual but unique. Nothing super expensive. Thinking like Cane Russo. We live in Allen, so we don't go to that area much. Obviously, after spending a few hours with the children, it must have alcohol.
  12. Does anyone have an update start time?
  13. Sadly, I don't. I just pay any attention whatsoever while I'm typing.....
  14. Yeah, my high school GF has some scares on her knees from that shit as well
  15. Pretty sure Garland had one near where Williams Stadium is.
  16. So thankful my wife is not a big fan of holiday celebrations (outside of Thanksgiving and Christmas). Asked her what she wanted to do for Valentines. She was like. When we get home, go grab a couple of drinks at (local bar we frequent), while I try and get the 3 yo to sleep. Then stop and pick up some wine and pizza and lets watch one of th baseball movies you always make me watch before the season starts.
  17. My Dad was smart at this. We very rarely had sweets or junk food growing up. When my mom would go out of town, my dad would buy a bunch of junk food and every time we cleaned a room/did a chore (and I'm talking take all the dishes out of the cabinets and rewash them after cleaning the cabinet type shit), we got to pick one. House was spotless by the time my Mom got back. Dad spent most of the time on the couch watching football. Also, kept up pretty busy all weekend. Real Men of Genius shit right there. @Knoxtnhorn
  18. ***raises hand*** I do.. Just finished "Without Remorse" for at least the 5th time.
  19. Has there been any update on the nuclear power plant the russian's were occupying? can't remember the name of it
  20. I have to go there tomorrow - keep me updated. I'm watching the school closers, but nothing yet for tomorrow
  21. The bolded part is where you seem to close your mind off. It's the entire criminal justice system. African Americans are incarcerated at a rate of 2,306 per 100,000. Whites at 450 per 100,000. I would imagine that a 2.3% incarceration rate has a pretty big influence on suicide and homicide rates.
