  1. Not like cancer or a child dying or something serious. Just a bunch of little things right in a row. In the last two weeks: My wife totaled her car (that wasn't trivial, but it seemed to be the starting point) 2 Days later, she rear-ended a truck. Minor damage, just a radiator and new bumpers. 2 days after getting it back, one of the hose clamps to the radiator broke. So I spent an hour driving like a quarter mile at a time taking back to the shop. Then walked home in like 90 degree heat while carrying my 3 year old on my shoulder Got home and preheated the oven. When I went to open it, the fucking glass on the door fell off. I'm not even sure how that happens. Not more than an hour later, the toilet got clogged. I mean Jesus. It was also Sunday, so I couldn't even get liquor. Wound up walking to Walgreens and buying a box of wine.
  2. Yeah, we're about the same age. Our family went to the Farmers Market on a regular basis when we were young. Took my family around 2 or 3 months ago, and it's just Dallas douchebag Central now. The only redeeming quality was that you could carry a beer around. I used to live at 190 & Josey, if you like walking/jogging - check out Grapevine Lake. That was may go to back then. Be sure to check here - some of the parks have fee's, some don't, but the trails connect to all of them. https://lake-grapevine.com/katies-woods-park/ It's been awhile, but I used to run from here, to the restaurant and have a beer. then walk back.
  3. Let me help you. They named alot of people who were alive between 1750 and 1800. If you could go back in time and as any of them if they were okay with Blacks, Slaves, or Indians owning guns. Would the answer be yes or no? If yes, they would be okay with them owning guns, you are absolutely lying to yourself. If no, then you understand that even they believed in gun regulation.
  4. Except I'm eating and drinking all of that in one sitting
  5. Weird. You wife is pretty good a kneeling down with her arm at an awkward angle....
  6. It is. Went a few months ago, and it's crap now. They ran all the actual farmers off and it's like going to a craft fair. The ones in McKinney or Frisco are better. I don't know who rates Dallas highly or what factors they are considering. I guess if they are considering the "cheaper" housing and some really good school districts in the Suburbs. Or the jobs/economy especially in the Frisco area. But, in Dallas Proper, outside of Klyde Warren park are with the museums and what's left of the West End. I guess Deep ellum (I haven't been in years, so I have no idea). I can't think of anything else. Maybe a Mav's or Star's game. White rock Lake??
  7. It is, and while it's still a step up from Bell. It's gone way down hill. I'm Taco Casa all the way now
  8. I get really dry skin in the winter. As long as I'm not sweating alot, I usually on shower ever other day then. Of course, living in Texas, that's basically like 6 weeks. During the worst parts of the summer, I could totally see taking two showers a day pretty often.
  9. I quite smoking a few years ago. about 9 out of 10 times the smell of cigarettes makes me want to vomit. But that one other time it'll make my mouth water, it smells so good. Also, pipe tobacco. love that smell
  10. My wife can mow, but I would rather her work on her sandwich making skills. Which are sorely lacking.....
  11. Yeah, our plan is to stay in the house until the kids are grown (about 15 years) then, use the house money to buy some land far away from any city possibly in Arkansas or Oklahoma where it is alot cheaper.
  12. Pretty sure this is the thread that introduced me to mississippi roast Sent from my SM-A515U using Tapatalk
  13. So you went back without the kid huh??

  17. You're not wrong. We had been planning on trading it in last summer. But with the vehicle shortages and stuff decided to hold off and get something we really wanted. On a side note - I got it inspected last Saturday (with an oil change) and Registered Monday night... SO double FML
  18. Lol - but no. Kids stayed with the grandparents and I waited to post until about an hour after we got home.
  19. We went to the ER. Her mom is actually an ER Doc and had called ahead to the head of ER before we even got there. Everything came up okay. I'm still fucking pissed though
  20. I don't know that that would have been better. She (used to) drive a honda fit. If it was one of those cheap aluminum ladders, maybe. but if it was a heavy duty ladder, I think it would have been alot worse.
  21. Bruised up pretty badly but okay. If you've ever driven in that area at 9:00 am, it's amazing she wasn't hit/didn't hit another vehichle.
  22. After she complained that she could barely use her hands, I asked if her mouth was still okay. /tone
