  1. The social media post is not at all an indicator that the clock has started
  2. Riiiiight. I’m sure the agent has a zappier integration that just fires off on form submittal
  3. I’d guess the official request starts the clock. Not a social media post
  4. it’s probably north of 5000 players now, out of 12,000. Insane carnage coming when the music stops
  5. I think the feeling is that such rules would be struck down by a judge as anticompetitive. Only the pro sports enjoy that luxury.
  6. I don't know, I guess. Listen, I'm gonna go. Its been really nice talking to both of you guys
  7. Rosters increase from 85 to 105 in 2026 is my understanding
  8. Stock option in an entity taking in brand revenue
  9. Didnt we recently see an example of this being walked back?
  10. Perhaps a solution for reducing volatility may be something like stock options tacked on to a pay agreement. They'd have real value if you stay (vest) for multiple years giving the original team a leg up on anyone looking to poach from them. If you leave early, the stock doesn't change hands and thus doesn't cost the school/collective a dime. If you stay and they vest, the school got some value from the stability it created. And we can still fire them if they suck. This isn't going to close the gap when the offers a vastly apart, but if offers are in the same ballpark the original school has some leverage.
  11. Absolutely. The inability to pin a dollar "value" on a player, or a position, or a school plus the source of the funds often being billionaires who have their own skewed perception of that value makes this fascinating from afar, though horrifying up close. Someone mentioned ROI earlier and I can't imagine how you would even begin to calculate that given the wide dispersion of even goals for CFB. Clearly not every donor is under the illusion that they can pay for a championship at their school ... what other value are they getting when Troy Fucking Aikman can't even get a "thanks"?!
  12. I've seen this a few times this morning
  13. 9pm local time puck drop in Chicago? This is unusual, yeah?
  14. Good on you for doing the work. I was thinking the same research was needed for us to better understand the picture. My guess is the leverage starts to flip from the sellers to buyers soon as the players remaining in the portal start panicking that they don't have a team
  15. This specimen's notation and insistence on atypical nomenclature is insufferable.
  16. 0400am is redundant and duplicative
  17. I use the View as App option on both iPhone and iPad and don’t have any problems with it. I do have to use the screen drag to go back, fwiw, so that’s a bit different
  18. If I had hot tits I’d not be fucking around here
  19. “it shouldn’t be lost” that Coleman and Craver went to high school [checks googles] … 150 miles away from each other. Lock it up
