  1. In post op she was sharing beauty tips with the nurses and commented she even figured out a way to get half off her manicures.
  2. update, I had been avoiding this. I posted this on 2/7, I 2/14 we found out the tumor was in fact an aggressive cancer (Rhabdomyosarcoma), and had grown so large, and started to effect nearby lymph nodes, there was not a choice and we had to amputate. Life and death choices become crystal clear when you need to make them. So on 2/15 she had surgery. She has been super tough, and was up and walking a hour after surgery, home in 2 days and doing almost everything she was doing before already and is ready for the next fight. She has been truly inspirational to our whole family. Tomorrow we have the follow up from surgery to hear the pathology results and hopefully negative margins, and the follow up plan for chemotherapy, even with the tumor removed she will need chemo due to the aggressive nature of the cancer. (She did have a bone scan with contrast and a CT scan of her whole abdomen pre-surgery that showed no other signs of cancer). It has been a ton in a short time, but it really makes you value every day you have.
  3. I heard the “seat donation” on one in the last couple years was 100k a year with a 10yr commit. + the cost fo the tickets (and catering) I assume

dry herb vaping is what I do as well. I know we don’t have the exact science, but it seems better then smoking what might be in the “yellow vials” and logically better then combustion. At this point I have tried most of the popular portable vapes and the Xmas V3 is a great starter vape, and the price point is great. I really like using the dosage caps, makes clean up much easier.

    Yep, i like these.
  7. Yep, I don’t remember wait list talk before.
  8. Yep, if you are paying property taxes in Texas you are going to quickly get to the 10k SALT limit anyway. Sure would like to see that limit raised.
  9. Reading this thread has been helpful. In the middle of a scare right now, wife has a large mass in her upper arm, doctors suspect Scaroma from the MRI but we are waiting on the biopsy still. She is 45 and the toughest person i know. Just scared, but reading this thread and been inspirational and keeping me positive while we wait for the results. Y’all are some tough fuckers.
  10. Agreed - room offers were being mailed out pretty frequently for this weekend (by the mgm group at least), for the last couple months . So I suspect there was actually good supply of rooms available for the weekend.
  11. Haha - as someone retired from a world that loooooved their NPS scores I love this. I have met Fred Reichheld a couple times, he is super smart and passionate. But I always hated the way companies use NPS.
  12. And a denial “The commissioners both strongly rebuke any notion that the creation of this advisory board is a move toward a breakaway from the college sports’ governing body. The Big Ten and SEC remain prominent members of the NCAA, both in governance and national competition, they say.”
  13. If we don’t get a lot more rain you will be able to walk out to it….. I will be down the river at our place on LBJ. Not as close as you but still well within the path.
  14. Yep, it’s why we use Utah. (3rd and 6th grader)
  15. I am actually surprised AISD didnt do this. Attendance is no doubt going to take a hit that day, and since funding is tied to attendance they usually try to close on days they anticipate high absences.
  16. This thread is of great interest to me. Agreed on the hotels in Ann Arbor being tough to find. I have a room at the Ann Arbor Hampton Inn (south so not even the area suggested), also have a room in Detroit and kinda leaning on staying there.
  17. Looks great, leftovers here are frequently turned into breakfast like that or tacos (as long as you are as liberal for the definition of “taco” as torchy’s).
  18. Better crowd today, but it still surprises me how many empty seats there are for a top 10 team coming to town.
  19. What a horrible story and also a good reminder of what can happen.
  20. LISD just announced a delayed opening via text message.
  21. I saw the line for XS last night, then I went to my room and bed. The talent in line was impressive.

Here now, I really like this place. Staying in west bay, it’s a chill diving community. I didn’t realize until I got here that most people from the island grow up speaking English so it’s pretty much everywhere making it a really easy place to travel too.
  23. Facebook links should be a bannable offense.
  24. They are calling it a supplemental airport, who the fuck is going to pick to fly out of that. Maybe for locals and cargo but the passenger airlines that have to move to that airport are going to be at a big disadvantage.
  25. More proof if Washington should somehow advance, ticket prices would drop.
