  1. I figured those right on the strip were some sort of scam. The legal places are a couple blocks off.
  2. Don’t worry everyone. I moved rooms now.
  3. So the US Open?
  4. This is going to come down to a really great ending.
  5. Ditto - y'all yell extra loud for the rest of us. Super jealous of all of you making this work.
  6. We gave our 9 year old a AppleWatch that is on a family plan with her mom's phone. Not quite a phone but does allow us to call/text her with out all the social media issues. It is also fairly locked down to only phone numbers/contacts we have approved (which is only family right now)
  7. I went by JR yesterday and there were no signs they were coming back soon. That whole area of the casino was just dead.
  8. For our “steak house” dinner we are going to majordomo meat and fish. I will let you know after Saturday how it was.
  9. That article is pretty misleading, we don't have wealth tax we have a income tax. Using unrealized gains to then try and illustrate a low tax rate is not really fair. I live in Austin, do I have to count all the unrealized gains in my house value this year and pay taxes on that?
  10. We stayed at AK Lodge part of the trip and Beach Club Villas the other part. We took the skyliner to HS one day and want to say it was a day the park opened at 9 and we got there by 8:15 with very short waits (we were not there at 7am). The other tip I saw for RoR was to plan your visit to AK on the day you do not get a boarding pass. The idea was to make the reservation for HS on 3 different days (if you planned to go 2) and if you don't get a boarding group at 7am one the first or second day pivot and make that day a AK day since they have same day avilablity generally while HS does not. Basically giving yourself one more chance (although I was 2/2 on getting boarding passes from my resort at 7am).
  11. When we were there a week ago skyline was quick. I know the rule is supposed to be one party per car but we and many others got paired up.
  12. https://twitter.com/TexasFanFirst/status/1401279994534449153?s=20
  13. That makes so much sense. I was wondering why that ride seemed so bad.
  14. what he said ^^
  15. I thought in regionals the 2.5 hour gap was rule driven (meaning we can't opt out). I have tickets and the later it gets the less likely I can get down their with my 9 year old. So I wish we could start by 7:30
  16. Between the courtyard, Westminster, jester and long canyon (where I am) I am sure there are a few of us here.
  17. 1) Schedule a virtual appointment with a doctor 2) describe your symptoms and ask for a prescription. 3) ????? 4) Profit Seriously, It's pretty easy and very common. Likely a 10 minute appointment.
  18. Interesting, when we left for our last trip there was plenty of parking at fast park, but when we arrived back on Saturday the driver did tell us they were full.
  19. I hear you, I tend to pick one "destination" location to eat and then stay to my Hotel or very close by for the same reason.
  20. I have been to all 3 and I don’t know that there is a equivalent to Joel Robuchon, savoy or cirque at Wynn. Those three along with Picasso and é are some of the best fine dining in Vegas. (With the full Robuchon experience being the best)
  21. I am here now. Had Sanaa tonight and it was really good. The naan bread service was great. Did rise of the resistance today and we are trying again tomorrow. Did not realize there were multiple stories. Hope we get the other one.
  22. We will be in Orlando in 10 days, hoping they keep capacity limits but drop masks by then (they are not doing fastpass right now so I assume they would want to give 30 days notice to start that back up).
  23. CDC director just said it. Fully vaccinated people do not need to wear a mask indoors or outdoors, large or small gatherings.
  24. That’s crazy. I had not imagined it was that predominant but it I guess it makes sense.
  25. Curious on this, why is it much different than the smoke smell that has always been all over Vegas. Is it that the smell is that bad, or is the issue that the class of people who partake is different? Trying to get at what the true issue is (I say this as a surly poster who also likes weed).
