  1. I thought that as well but then I noticed Berine and Biden still had rallies today so I guess both parties are downplaying the significance. It does look like Berine just canceled one rally (TBD if that is because he feels he has lost).
  2. Our package says we can cancel 30 days out for a full refund and up to 2 days out and only pay a $200 cancellation.
  3. I did some of that last week and might do some more now. I think you are right.
  4. We are still supposed to go to Whistler next week and I think we will keep it, I am more worried about Disneyland in late may being cancelled if they close the park.
  5. Yep - the market is already moving. I will say it again just buy and hold, you are not smarter then the market.
  6. ohh this is gonna be good.
  7. Maybe, I actually thought if most people are maxing out tax deferred accounts first then most of shaggy with money in taxable accounts would be in the 20% bracket (at least they like to talk like it).
  8. Exactly, I think that is often missed. I did sell stuff that was at a loss last week but immediately bought back into the market in other funds (to avoid the wash rule). I got to bank the loss against future gains and buy on the loss.
  9. I agree, but I also think it gets much worse before that good news comes. The problem is there is no way to know, even if it gets worse before better if you just hold you won't miss the snap back. If you sell now and miss the bounce back up you lose. Selling now is just trying to time the market. And if most of your money is in taxable accounts it make no sense (on non-taxable accounts I the risk is a little less but still timing the market). The only way you lose if you hold is if it does not go back up before you retire.
  10. I just did as well and yep I will keep buying over the next couple weeks.
  11. Well you answered your own question on why misinformation keeps being pushed by the "uninformed".
  12. 1 in 25? That is not a accurate number, that would be 4%. Most think (including WHO) have this sub 1% and it will keep falling as they test people with more mild symptoms.
  13. I still don't understand how to buy calls. Maybe it is the way E*Trade lists them. The options for a Call are "Buy Open", "Sell Open", "Buy Close", and "Sell Close". Then I see all those same options for a Put.

  15. I would wait to pull the plug. If things shut down the airlines and hotels will almost certainly work with you. And if they don't you will get to travel with much less then normal tourists. Unless you have some other preexisting conditions or this thing mutates it does not sound like most of us have anything to worry about even if you do catch it.
  16. I had no idea there were stores just called "Mi Tienda" see the two in Houston now. The rundberg/lamar location was branded as a "mi tienda" HEB for awhile. The sign still said HEB but added a "mi tienda" label as well, kinda like the "plus" on the HEB plus stores. No idea if it still is. https://www.austinchronicle.com/food/2012-01-20/h-e-b-mi-tienda/
  17. Going to Whistler next month and Disneyworld in May. No plans to change anything.
  18. Not all of it was, but look at the declines in the healthcare and insurance companies. Those are sold more then the market and can directly be tied to Berine (medicare for all, put insurance companies out of business).
  19. Looks like it is sold out on amazon, their website says it will begin shipping back to them in March.
  20. Dow opened down 1k now only down 850, 150 pt rally!!!
