  1. It has to be the most miserable prick on here.
  2. There is a place in Austin called Remington Ranch and they have a bus called the bark bus that takes pooches out to their property in Buda. Our dog rode it once. Second time my wife tried to drop him off while I was out of town he refused to get on the bus.
  3. Ya that’s the limited. 70k should look pretty slick. I’m surprised they didn’t do more of a dramatic change.
  4. Bars should have to close again. They have proved they cannot operate safely. Gyms, amusement parks, bowling alleys need to close as well. I really don’t think much of this spread is in restaurants. Most of them are doing a great job. I think restaurants will allow people some normalcy but at much safer precautions.
  5. Press conference this afternoon from commissioner. Hope they don’t have to cancel this tourney.
  6. We do new construction SF HVAC, electrical and plumbing in all 4 major markets. We did 10k houses just in plumbing last year. If we annualized what we have done the last 3 weeks we would do 15k this year. With such little existing inventory on the market builders are absolutely selling a ton of houses. Builder that had been selling 50-60 a month in a market are selling 80-90.
  7. I love it. We do 2 weeks a month to get fresh ideas. I really haven’t had a bad meal with them.
  8. Or just fat fucks who would of died from a heart attack. Got absolutely no exercise for 3 months and ate at home. Then went out had a cheeseburger and the ol ticker went kaboom
  9. Hello Fresh? Because I made the exact meal last week.
  10. I’ve been rocking the mask in public since March. I’ll be interested how Austin restaurants and bars mandate this with the new Austin and SA rules.
  11. Texas is not becoming more impacted than other places. Our death rate and hospitalization is still low especially per capita. Yes we have seen a spike in cases and hospital admittance. Only one county is using more than 10% of hospital beds for Covid. I would say with a state as large and diverse as ours there are probably huge differences with how businesses are following orders. Most restaurants are taking every precaution they can right now that I’ve been in. I wouldn’t step in a chain restaurant or fast food restaurant in regular times but I definitely wouldn’t go now. You also would not catch me at a Golds or 24 Hour type gym. Places I’ve been have been over the top with precautionary measures. Jack Allen’s, Sway, The Grove, Salt Traders, VY’s, Matt’s all have distance between tables, no shared condiments, throw away menus or no menus just use your QR code. Orange Theory only 12 people in class 8 ft apart and no one uses same station. I think that is all we can ask for those type establishments. People should wear masks in stores and when not eating. Large gatherings and people having to work are probably leading to these higher numbers. That includes patio bars packed because no restrictions on those.
  12. Abbott doesn’t need to give power to the mayor’s. What he needs to do is just make masks mandatory at stores and places of worship. Bars are definitely an issue. Went down to get Garaj Mahal the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and the bars just operating pretty close to normal. Main measures I saw were to protect staff. The bars have patios so no capacity limits. Most restaurants are doing everything very responsible.
  13. We live off of 360 and the last 2 weekends Lake Austin has been crazy. Lake Travis has been pretty busy on the weekends. We went out Thursday afternoon and it was nice to get a break from the crowds
  14. I thought the meat quality at Be More Pacific was some of the worst I have seen outside of fast food.
  15. We actually held very steady in May. It was the beginning of June that we saw the spike. Memorial Day and the protests are definitely creating the spike. There was a jump in May and opening with no masks probably contributed to that. We had stability though.
  16. That’s a really one sided view of what our police forces do. I feel that cop murdered Floyd and others have as well but that doesn’t completely devalue what the other men and women do on a daily basis. Have you ever needed the police? Have you had a friend or family member be the victim of a violent crime? Have you had personal property stolen from you? Get the fuck out of here with your completely one sided view of the world of police are bad and do no good.
  17. Agreed on the slogan. To say cops don’t help the community with the problems that are tasked with is a ridiculous statement. They go on thousands of calls a month were they absolutely de escalate the situation and solve the problem they were called their for. People don’t want cops until they need cops.
  18. I feel that it is ignorant to say we need to defund police departments and that they are militarized. On a day to day basis our police do work that is extremely risky. Cutting huge chunks from police budgets without any real reform will just cause more issues. Cops that are over worked and over stressed, that leads to worse decision making. State and local budgets don’t work like that. They aren’t going to take $150 million from LAPD and give it to public schools. The protesters also aren’t calling for reform they are calling for abolishing police departments. The guardian can say one thing but that is not the message the protesters are using.
  19. Ya Perlas and Clark’s are doing just fine. I’ve tried to get a reservation multiple times granted at the last minute and nothing was available
