  1. Really depends but I think more can survive than some think if rent is taken out of the picture. They do need to get rid of middle managers and higher hourly/salary employees unfortunately.
  2. It was a comment based on earlier posts about the real estate market.
  3. We have 2 houses on the market. In SA we have had 36 showings since Friday. In Austin we have had 8. we got 9 offers on SA house this weekend nothing yet on house in Austin.
  4. I know I sound like a crazy person. But with these absolutely unheard of times. I think the government will step in and help these small businesses. I’m probably wrong but I feel that it will happen.
  5. Agreed I sell mechanical services for single family new construction. They are still building currently but we have no idea what happens if construction is shut down or if people just stop buying houses all together
  6. That’s a fucking issue. We get a lot of our materials through the port.
  7. A month is too aggressive but if we can just slow the growth curve and start declining in cases we should be able to return to normal sooner than later.
  8. I’m with Hornbi and Wally. It’s going to suck but the I think underlying issues aren’t long term if we can slow the growth and re open businesses over the next month or so. The market will probably go down more but I think we should see a sharp increase in the 3rd and 4th quarter
  9. It says $90k for individuals and $180k for married couples. Knowing Surly most of us won’t be getting anything
  10. Fuck off, unless I am missing some sarcasm that will not happen.
  11. I’d definitely just use it at local shops/eateries and bars over the summer
  12. That works for mortgages but that would not really help renters who work in the retail and service industry. UBI is the probably the only thing to provide security for tens of millions of people who live in the US. Also probably needs to be payments for the next 4 months. So let’s just say $850 billion
  13. Wow I am the Sales Manager for Austin and San Antonio and have not heard that yet. I am currently bidding KBs work but we don’t have their business.
  14. What market? We do work for a lot of the top 25 but haven’t heard any of them say they are halting production. In fact DR Horton told me absolutely not this morning.
  15. There is almost zero percent risk of eating out. This is not an airborne or food based virus. The social distancing is to stop the spread. Wash your hands before eating and after disposing of any containers.
  16. I work for a medium sized mechanical contractor and it’s pretty unnerving what is going on. No one really knows what will happen with the housing industry and new starts. Austin was on pace to blow out permits this year but we are already hearing from builders that they expect to slow significantly over the next couple of months. The length of time is obviously going to be the main issue for everyone.
  17. I prefer the 10-2 Tuesday - Thursday schedule.
  18. He’s the best analyst out there. Seems like crazy money though. What do Troy and Collinsworth make?
  19. This Ryan Brauninger has MR right? That’s the only way to explain how terrible the writing is in that post.
  20. That’s how a lunch should go.
  21. Tyson and Ali. It’s hilarious that Michael Jordan is on that list.
  22. Not sure if serious but absolutely not. It’s becoming another suburb of Austin. Affordability in Austin is driving the growth. Also Texas State’s enrollment has grown by over 1000 students over the last decade.
  23. Jesus. Looks like my wife trying to park the 22ft Cobalt.
  24. Agreed. Turner and Williams fit well at the 5 in this offense. Also nice to see PJ only have to play 31 minutes last night.
