  1. It's a bold statement, but based on what I'm seeing, you can't cock it up any worse than the last guy that was in there . . .
  2. This is what happens when you don't respect "dibs" on the better looking flight attendant.
  3. Agreed, I'm not saying they're body on frame behemoths, but they were more rugged than the 2nd gen. Top 10 seems a bit extreme, but I've heard they sucked in a lot of areas. Granted, I think your opinion is a bit skewed. You don't strike me as a guy that's driven many true shitboxes.
  4. They don't have low range. More of an overland setup than offroading. They look good, though. First gen's had the high/low range transfer case. They were much more truck-like, and the one that most guys choose when looking to build a trail vehicle..
  5. I'm not the only one, right? "Hey, we need a left-hand drive version." "No problem . . ."
  6. I've seen the honeybadger videos, and I'd laugh my ass off when HB gets the guy by the nuts. Queue the Benny Hill soundtrack . . .
  7. Not sure if we're running with this, but I watched a guy perform a u-turn 100 ft. from a rotary yesterday. 100 ft. from entering the rotary to be clear . . .
  8. It's stupid but on stock bikes, some manufacturers limit the max speedometer reading to 186-189 mph. It corresponds to 299 kmh/h. Basically, the bike will go faster but it won't tell you how much faster. No experience with this, but I've read about it. Bikes and cars have gotten ridiculous. I've done 152 mph on a relatively slow bike at COTA (GPS), and I've seen ~170 mph in cars on the back straight. On the highway, I always love when pickup trucks try to run me over at 90+ mph. Riders aren't the only assholes out there . . .
  9. Wife and I used Evolve for our place in Lago Vista, and our biggest issue was with their suggested rates. We moved to AirBnB and doubled our nightly rate. We aren't 100% occupied and have no desire to be. Wear and tear on an STR is no joke, and I'd rather it go empty than rent it for less than I think it's worth. My personal opinion, but if you do plan to use it for your own use, it's better to reduce wear. Somewhat related note, but we lived in our place for a couple months before starting to rent it. I feel like this helps avoid the stupid mistakes/complaints from your first renters, and getting a 5 star rating on your platform of choice is key to consistent rentals.
  10. And I just realized that this is the wife equivalent of fucking up the laundry.
  11. Damn. Came here to make myself feel better about my marriage, and there's two sandy vaginas dragging their way through this thread.
  12. Dan Wesson. Currently have two, and I'm a big fan.
  13. Anyone else alarmed by the fact that there's a "provoked" category for shark attacks? "Let me poke the bear . . ."
  14. Merry Christmas! https://www.motortrend.com/news/toyota-gr-corolla-rumors/
  15. An attempt was made? First thought was Beaujolais, honestly . . .
  16. Dumb question, are the equity grids that TCAD uses accessible to the public?
  17. I would look at the Kias. Quality for the Korean brands has gone way up in the past 10 years - like old school Honda reliability.
  18. The guy was leaning the bike pretty hard, and his body position sucked. When he moved his foot, he shifted his butt and leaned the bike even further. Everything that he did to adjust his foot led to the crash - he put more pressure into the bars with his hands, which likely caused the front end to lose grip. At that lean angle, it was the wrong time to make adjustments like that. If he'd had his head on the inside of the bars (in line with the left mirror, or even further over), he'd have had a much larger safety margin at that speed. Edit - I thought that section of road looked familiar - it's mentioned in the comments, but there's also a bump in that turn that takes out a ton of riders. Perfect storm.
  19. Any chance you can tell me what they are before he posts them?
  20. Any idea how long it will take to get the test results from the samples that were sent out? Seems like that will be a driver for the next run.
  21. I'm clearly doing the stonk thing wrong, as @Harrison Stafford sent me down a wormhole with AMYZF. I know it's purely speculative, but anyone know if it's a stronger play than ABML (ABTC)? AMYZF has a patented process, ABML is claiming a proprietary process and has some former Tesla guys on board. Just trying to figure out which one is more legit.
