  1. He was and is a class act all the way. He was a great example of how a president should act after he leaves office.
  2. And a very good Bond. Lazenby would have ended up being a good successor to Connery had his agent not screwed his mind up. He should have done at least one more.
  3. I liked it when University of Texas Band played about 50 years ago, 1974. 😁
  4. Fat face, and totally unqualified. I'd like to kick every woman in the nuts and every guy in the p***y, who voted for her to be governor. And the GOP says she's the future of the party. Figures, they also have MTGreene, another useless idiot. So who's the crazy party Sarah? Stupid comment.
  5. 94. I know a lot of people call his music elevator music, bubble gum, but he created, along with Hal David, some of the most loved songs for many generations. Austin Powers kind of brought his music back to main stream, but I don't think it ever left really. He'll be missed. What's your favorite Bacharach song?
  6. Not at all IMO. I feel like these guys are playing for him.
  7. The poster art by Bob Peak is one of his best. Peak was the greatest when it came to movie poster art at that time, creating art for Camelot and My Fair Lady, Superman and Star Trek plus 100’s more. I met him before he past away, even visited his studio, one of the highlights of my life.
  8. I'm also a Rian Johnson fan and think he's brilliant. The first episode was really good, a lot more raw than what I expected, considering they kept mentioning Columbo in everything I've read. Columbo being in LA among the very rich and she's in whatever town she's in, and living in a old trailer in the desert. There were little things that reminded me of Columbo and the detective shows of that time, like the titles in the beginning of the episode having a 70's look. And the fact she comes across as not to smart but she's got that super power extra sense, like Columbo. This has been a nice surprise.
  9. New Amsterdam. I don't know if this show has been mentioned on this site, the last official episode was a couple of weeks ago on NBC. However, the full series is on Peacock but 4 seasons are on Netflix. My wife and I are into medical series for some reason, having binged watched Saving Hope (loved it) and The Resident. This one is actually based on a book by a real person and a real hospital in New York:Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital by Eric Manheimer. The name of the hospital and the main character who is a Medical Director have been changed. It's not a documentary. Great stories.
  10. And being paid like a Super Bowl winning QB.
  11. After 27 years still not ready for prime time.
  12. DeSantis is doing every thing he can to only appeal to a small group of voters. That may work for the primary where he has limited appeal but not on a national level. I've read he has a terrible personality as well as being a bully. Might work for MAGA, Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, just not sure who else. That doesn't sound like national appeal to me. But, the one thing he has going for him right now is his age.
  13. It also made me think of Gran Torino. But as you said, more uplifting and minus the violence. It's hard to know who will go and see this film. It does feel more directed to an older audience. There were 3 other people in the theater when the wife and I saw it, and they were older than us, and we're up there. But I loved the movie and it does make me want to now see the Swedish version.
