My wife has a friend that is well educated and has a big job in corporate America. She is a high earner and leads a large team of people. During the election, she made a comment to my wife that she doesn’t think a woman should be president. My wife was completely flabbergasted.
Agree. He’s done a really good job of articulating and summarizing where the failures occurred. I know we will find out more in the coming days, weeks and months, but for now he’s addressed the shortcomings in a clear and concise manner without injecting a lot of emotion into it.
You’re not going to change imma’s mind or influence him here. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that he’s not big on self reflection or admitting to making a mistake, mostly because in his mind he never makes mistakes. Just accept it and move on.
A shit ton of posts got deleted off that thread.
According to this page, yes. I’ve seen a few references in stories online to people saying they heard sirens, but it’s not 100% clear if they were warning sirens or sirens of emergency vehicles.

How any Texan listens to this chud and thinks “now, that’s what leadership looks like” will never make sense to me. He’s a weak man that has never taken accountability for anything that I can recall.
I was just going to say. I’ve had Culver’s once - when it was the only thing I could find open late at night in Idaho Falls - and I thought it nothing to write home about. The co-worker that was with me had a couple of bites and threw hers out, which I thought was dramatic.
Someone posted on here on Friday or Saturday predicting >200 fatalities and I thought to myself “no fucking way” because that number just seemed unfathomable to me.
You’re not wrong to a large extent, but my beef is that imma and blacklab have created and reinforced an environment where the MAGA cabal can screech “no CR!!!!” on shit that’s pretty damn benign and they immediately jump in to save their feelings. They’ve catered to and coddled that crowd for so long that they have the privilege of dictating any discussion which remotely strays into politics which, has been discussed ad nauseum, is pretty many current event these days. It’s tiresome that one group gets to dictate the discussion here. If the mods would tell the MAGA cabal to STFU and grow up every now and then you might see people not get so wound up about the inconsistency in moderation here. Maybe not, but we’ll never know because the mods have taken a hardline position that MAGA is a protected class.
In a case like this involving a large employer, I think your best move is to advocate for money to be given to the community foundation who can then distribute the funds to vetted local organizations in the front line. Obviously, I can’t speak for every community foundation, but the ones I’ve had involvement with do really good work and are pretty efficient.
