  1. That would suuuuuck. One of the best parts of college basketball is the fact that it's a sport that smaller schools can compete and win on a big time stage. Having teams like Gonzaga, Butler, FGCU, Loyola Chicago, etc being in the mix is what makes the NCAA tournament great.
  2. Any insight into why they haven't reopened? It's been almost a year since the fire. Are there signs of activity in terms of repairing the damage?
  3. Saban was no bastion of morality. The old way was under the cloak of darkness. The new way is out in the sunlight. Saban recognized he had lost one of his biggest advantages and folded it up and retired while he was still on top.
  4. Might be a little tough to do that after he's slapped with a show cause.
  5. Four total posts over a 15 month period of time all of them stanning for a city councilwoman. If you're not said city councilwoman, I'm guessing you're sleeping with her or trying to.
  6. They couldn't get a vein before the death warrant expired.
  7. From a deterrent standpoint, the death penalty isn't stopping anyone from committing a heinous crime. From an economic standpoint, executing someone is much more expensive than just locking someone up and throwing away the key.
  8. To really save money, they can just roll him on down to the Costco Tire Center and have him suck on the nitrogen hose.
  9. These numbers are so eye popping that I don't even know if they should be believed. This would represent about 7-8% of all births in Texas. Truly astounding. I though Greg was going to eliminate rape? More than 26K rape-related pregnancies estimated after Texas outlawed abortions, new study says
  10. Yes, neither business is being managed particularly well at the moment.
  11. I was thinking about this earlier and was wondering if we could see Boeing split into two with commercial aviation being one standalone business and defense and space being a separate standalone business.
  12. Totally agree and that's why I said I don't think Deion will ultimately generate a culture of winning. My post was intended to say that I don't think this appreciably hurts team morale and recruiting and may likely be net positive. Is it what puts together a winning team? I don't think so, but I could be surprised.
  13. A bunch of olds on a message board aren't the target market here. It's not a bad look at all to have Shilo and Shedeur in Paris walking the runway for Louis Vuitton. It's entirely on brand for what Deion is trying to build at CU. Take a look at what NFL players wear before and after games. It's a fashion show and there's a ton of LV on display. Deion talked about Louis in his first press conference at CU. Check out an image that I received from CU yesterday (I bought tickets to a game at Folsom once and now they spam me everyday). What's that in the background? An LV pattern. This stuff is aspirational for a lot of these kids and seeing his kids walking in a fashion show is aspirational. This is completely on brand for the NIL world. Now does it turn into results on the field? My opinion is no, but stranger things have surprised me.
  14. For sure and China has some really deep pockets with the added benefit of stealing a lot of IP.
  15. In addition to A and B there's now a C to keep an eye on. I don't think we're going to see US airlines buying the Comac C919 anytime soon, but it's selling well in China and that's historically been a big Boeing marker. If it starts catching on in the rest of Asia, that could put a big dent in Boeing's narrowbody business.
  16. It's incredible how much being President ages you. Even Obama, who is probably the fittest President we've had in my lifetime, aged a ton over eight years. So when you start from a baseline of 78, you're going to look really damn old after 4 years in the grinder.
  17. I loved Past Lives. I'm really surprised that Celine Song didn't get nominated for best director and that Greta Lee didn't get nominated for best actress.
  18. Not a good sign for Boeing when the CEO of your biggest customer starts calling you out in public. https://apnews.com/article/united-airlines-ceo-boeing-manufacturing-problems-4090ea6176ef59e382dd18e9522596bc
  19. Since we're down the Pizza Hut rabbit hole. I read this article last week where the franchise owner in Hempstead converted one of his stores to a retro Pizza Hut. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/food-culture/restaurants-bars/article/pizza-hut-classic-hempstead-texas-18598725.php
  20. There's a way to go about what you're trying to do without talking down to people and literally calling them entitled children. I see what you're trying to do and agree with the goal. I just think you could make some changes to how you're going about it that would be more effective and well received. I know it's a hard job and the pay sucks. We all know it's difficult to change ingrained cultures. I'm merely suggesting to treat people with respect
  21. Exactly. Imma keeps calling others toxic while being toxic himself. The lack of self awareness is breathtaking.
