I've been to Vegas probably 30+ times, but will be making the first trip there for March Madness on first weekend.  Will be with a small group who I don't think will want to spend morning till night watching the tourney, but will def want to catch some games and make some sports wagers in between playing in the casinos.  Home base is Bellagio.  Any tips from those who have done this before?

Complete shit show. My buddies and I quit doing it over a decade ago due to how bad it had become. Unless you've got a guy that can camp out all night or you're willing to put up $$$$ for a seat, you will not be getting a seat/table anywhere decent. It's easier these days to just go to a bar wherever you live and move in for the day while making wagers on your phone.

Moore had 2 that I know of: Jessie Jane went to Moore high, Bibi Jones went to Westmoore.  Southmoore needs to up their game.

Fun story, Bibi Jones is married to some dude in his 60's in Scottsdale. The guy's 15 minutes of fame was appearing on Millionaire Matchmaker. They have a whole mess of kids together. We would see them around town when we used to live in AZ. Was out one night with my then girlfriend now wife and another couple and pointed them out at a bar and showed a picture to our group. I got a knowing approval from my buddy for spotting her and a disapproving gaze from the women.

I've always wondered what it's going to be like when the other kids at school start passing around pics and videos of little Johnny and Jane's mom getting spit roasted. Those kids are going to go through hell.

And Bening for Nyad? Uh, no. That film and her performance were lame. The movie equivalent of “this could have been an email.”

Damn. That's the perfect description. We saw it on a whim on a weekend afternoon with nothing better to do. It was fine. Got to sit in a dark theater with a couple of cocktails. Walked out and pretty much forgot about it. Was shocked when it started getting awards nominations. It wasn't awful, but it felt like I could have watched a short video on YouTube and gotten the gist of it.

I don't see how the P4/5 stay in a 364 school Division I basketball tourney with the NCAA keeping the bulk of the revenue.  Some sort of breakaway seems inevitable.  But is it a P4/5?, FBS?, or FBS + BE?, or FBS + BE + 3-5 other conferences?  Its not going to be all 31 Division I conferences (not counting Pac 12).  If 10 conferences dropped to Division II, nobody would notice.

That would suuuuuck. One of the best parts of college basketball is the fact that it's a sport that smaller schools can compete and win on a big time stage. Having teams like Gonzaga, Butler, FGCU, Loyola Chicago, etc being in the mix is what makes the NCAA tournament great.

Damaged by a bad fire last spring. You can go to Lil Dizzy’s if you want something up that alley.

Any insight into why they haven't reopened? It's been almost a year since the fire. Are there signs of activity in terms of repairing the damage?

Yeah, I want to believe in Sherrone, but would much rather have had Deboer.

Maybe Harbaugh will have worn out his welcome in SD and he can come back for another bail out.

Might be a little tough to do that after he's slapped with a show cause.

Here's a question -- if Boeing ends up genuinely on the ropes (and it damned well may, with the twin hits to its reputation and marketability coming so close together, showing systemic problems)....what does the US government do?  Do we allow our ONLY domestic commercial aircraft manufacturer go belly-up?  Shit, we get a crapload of DOD products (F-18, F-15, Apache, the KC line, etc.) from Boeing.  I suspect it firmly falls in the "too big/important to fail" bucket....but it may end up completely restructured, and I can damned well see shareholders taking a brutal bath.

If I had Boeing stock, I'd sell now, even at a loss....because the losses sure look like they'll get a good bit worse.  Boeing is a shit company right now.

I was thinking about this earlier and was wondering if we could see Boeing split into two with commercial aviation being one standalone business and defense and space being a separate standalone business.
