  1. Those rural Trumpers are going to love it when even more of their small community hospitals close.
  2. His lack of basic economic principles explains a lot about his decision to pay Elon to beta test his products while buying the selling point that his car will some day be a robotaxi earning 20% while he lays on the beach.
  3. Jesus, dude, your lack of understanding of basic economics is quite something.
  4. Oh, fuck, randos on the internet don’t take a bunch of posts from other randos on the internet seriously? I didn’t realize we had been tasked with serious bizness. It’s all BS and you continue to be one of the most prolific contributors.
  5. So much this. People love to bitch about government agencies and functions that don’t work optimally and, by all accounts, TSA falls into that category. We have elected officials that are tasked with overseeing our government and ensuring that it is running optimally, but instead of holding those individuals accountable to doing their job, we let them bitch about how nothing works and nod along with them and keep re-electing them because “hey, he agrees with me this shit really is broken!”
  6. OP sounds like an aggy.
  7. Another opportunity to grift by privatizing airport security.
  8. My dog has a very sensitive stomach and goes through bouts of diarrhea from time to time. We give him these exact probiotics except in powder form sprinkled over his food when things go south. It usually helps get things back on track pretty quickly and we’ll keep using them for a week or two after that.
  9. I cared. A lot. I’ve been very involved in campaigns at the local and federal involved volunteering my time and money. I’ve authored a voter’s guide for my neighbors and friends for the last 5 years and done a ton to GOTV amongst that group. I’ve given up my time to work as a campaign worker in multiple elections, including the election in November. I’ve called my representatives to share my opinions on issues. I’ve cared more than the average voter. My fellow voters have spoken. I’m done caring. My mental health is much better for it.
  10. Telling CEOs we will give you special protection instead of telling them to stop being assholes that require special protection is certainly an interesting strategy.
  11. You have to be incredibly dumb to get engaged at 21. You’re even dumber for doing it at 21 if you’re a talented athlete earning a ton of NIL money and on the verge of signing a big professional contract.
  12. Says the guy who, as president-elect, gets intelligence briefings.
  13. This is my experience with them at the last company I worked at. Tens of millions were spent before the company finally fired them, scrapped everything they did and redid the mission critical stuff themselves.
  14. I don’t think you’re even close to being the only one. I’m guessing you would find a large majority on this board support both of the examples you cited as good ideas. I would be thrilled if he was able to push the Trump administration and Congress to pass legislation and implement policy that addresses both of those issues. The downside is that he supports some truly awful positions that would have a massive detrimental effect on the health of people in this country, in particular our most vulnerable and those that can’t vote. The downsides far outweigh the potential upsides so, despite having some positions that I can get onboard with, I think he’s a danger to this country and should not be confirmed.
  15. Thanks for explaining the joke.
  16. It was a blanket clemency program for people that were released from prison during COVID and subsequently remanded to home confinement. He was one of 1,500 people that qualified. He would have been released in 2026. In a world where we have elected a rapist and convicted felon to the highest office in the land, I’m not going to lose sleep over a guy being released from house arrest a little over a year early. That does not mean I’m defending his crimes.
  17. Those planes have been there for years. Dude paints them with whatever his shitty political message du jour is.
  18. The lesson that Trump has taught us all is that playing by the rules, norms and customs gets you absolutely nowhere. There’s a new playbook.
  19. You can afford last minute ski trips, but $100 for a tailgate with unlimited food and booze is a bridge too far? How much do lift tickets cost these days?
  20. $20 doesn’t even cover the fixed costs before F&B of the tailgate per what imma posted upthread.
  21. $100 for open bar and AYCE prime rib is crazy cheap.
  22. The Arizona that has a D governor, AG, secretary of state and two US senators? It’s not quite like the others in your list.
  23. Both of them are idiots that should live together on Idiot Island.
