  1. Seems like a reasonable guy who was trying to turn down the rhetoric in this country to unite us all.
  2. A $535MM annual investment in infrastructure and disaster preparedness would be better for the customers that they are supposed to serve.
  3. Gotcha. I struggle with religion that can justify $82 million on internal infrastructure before spending that money on charity. It seems super backwards to me. I’d rather just give money to organizations that support those causes you mention before they skim their portion to build palaces of worship.
  4. $82 million on a church renovation? Wouldn’t Jesus want his congregation to use those resources to serve the needy?
  5. Yep, you’re right. I just looked at the address and assumed. Didn’t bother to look it up on the map. Street name is ironic.
  6. Unfortunately he lives in West U and those cops have a lot of time on their hands.
  7. Found dipshit’s home address on Harris CAD. Someone should drive by to see if he has power.
  8. And over the course of a night it probably allows them at least one extra turn of the table in the dining room. Pretty good business model.
  9. I live in Houston and, as some of you might have heard, we had a little natural disaster this week. Said natural disaster has led to some challenges in fuel distribution so stations that do have power might not have fuel. Was able to find a station with half the pumps working this morning. Pulled in and I was second in line behind a dude filling up. This asshole goes inside the store to jerk off in the bathroom while the pump was running instead of staying with his car and going inside after his tank was filled. I sat there for 13 minutes after the pump shut off before this shitstain on humanity returned to casually return the nozzle, slowly replace his fuel cap and then play Candy Crush on his phone before he decided to finally turn his car on and GTFO. In the meantime, the line keeps growing and growing and this oblivious MF thinks he’s the only person in the neighborhood that might want to fill their tank.
  10. It’s the classic playbook of deflecting the blame from where it belongs - Centerpoint, the state sanctioned monopoly and lack of regulation and oversight from the PUC - to local <democrat> politicians. Notice they’ve been coming after Hidalgo, but leaving Baldy alone since he’s in their back pocket.
  11. What the fuck? Need more details on this one.
  12. I don’t know why this guy decided to go down the path of Centerpoint being woke. Trying to blame DEI for Centerpoint’s terrible disaster response is some broken brain shit.
  13. This doesn’t seem great. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-weather/hurricanes/article/centerpoint-beryl-water-plant-power-19569507.php
  14. You left off dividends for shareholders. It’s not like you have a choice. As long as you’re still hooked up to the grid, you will be paying for those improvements.
  15. Give him credit for doing it himself while the valet was running the disaster checklist for the generator, electric perimeter fence and moat.
  16. Checked it when it when the site was down and there was no official communication there so the question is a valid one.
  17. 1. Solid humble brag. 2. I think you need to look into how much you’re paying your night nanny and/or how much she’s stealing from you while you’re sleeping.
  18. Those bitcoin miners need emergency power.
  19. What a shithole. Should have gone to San Diego.
  20. I’m guessing a certain owner of one of our local sports teams won’t be donating to Baldy’s reelection fund.
  21. I was told that Beryl was going to be a nonevent.
