  1. TOUCHDOWN TEXAS! Make it rain, boys.
  2. Pulling out all the stops, I see.
  3. Hah, I don't remember if it was this hit or a different one, but I remember a game about 7-8 years ago where our guys knocked Mahomes on his ass with a really nasty hit. Dude got up looking like he didn't know what area code he was in. Actually legit felt bad for him, can't remember if he was concussed after that hit or not. Sure looked like it.
  4. No kidding. Contrast aggy's handling of the Jimbo firing with how our professionals in Bellmont and their big cigar benefactors handled the Tom Herman firing. We identified our guy, Sark. We quietly interviewed him. We came to an agreement on contract terms, with the big cigars' blessing. The minute the ink was dry on the contract, Herman got shown the door. We then put out a statement to the press, announcing the change. Done and dusted. Nobody even had a chance to speculate. The op sec involved in this entire operation would make the CIA proud. Meanwhile, the amateurs over in Collie Station are still trying to grasp how many zeroes are in Jimbo's payout. I bet some of those goobers still think they can lure Saban away from Alabama. Oh boy, are they going to be disappointed.
  5. I think Texas covers, but the O/U will be right about where the current line is. My prediction: Texas - 35 Tceh - 17 I think Texas will fall back to the usual pattern of getting up big in the first half, then going conservative in the second half and letting Tceh back into the game with a few drives in the second half. Total combined passing yards in this game: 525
  6. I can't imagine that Hugh Freeze is on the hot seat yet in Auburn given that it's only his first season there, but getting blown the fuck out at home by three TDs by New Mexico State, a team they paid $2 million to play, is probably not helping his case much today.
  7. I remember sitting in Memorial Stadium in the student section in 1993 for the Texas Tech game. Bam Morris ran all over our shit defense that game, and Tech spanked us with a 33-21 win. Even worse, there were a few really drunk, obnoxious Tech fans sitting in our section taunting us every time Tech scored. That game sucked, and I have never forgotten it. Let's beat their asses next week and send them back to Lubbock to stew in their eternal hatred of all things UT.
  8. I'm good with either OU or OSU in the CCG. OU because of the rematch, and it would be a fitting sendoff to the Big XII to have their two departing members play for the conference title this season. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind playing OSU as a final F U to the Hateful Eight. The win last night was one of the most satisfying of the season to me. Iowa State called out our program before the game, and this time, we shoved it right up their asses. 10-1 feels really nice. Let's finish this season strong.
  9. Don't worry, a few years from now, when our guys are all balling in the NFL, he'll probably be drunk in some bar in someplace like Marshalltown, Iowa, bragging to anyone who will listen about how he almost beat Texas in their last season in the Big XII.
  10. We got a bunch of pipe-swinging motherfuckers on defense. Sweat is about to get PAID and will make some NFL DC very, very happy. Maybe #54 for Iowa State will think twice before running his mouth before the game next time. Loved seeing JWhitt make some great plays tonight. He's been through a lot with this program since he got here, and I'm stoked that we can send him off with the best season we've had since 2009. 🤘
  11. Oklahoma State has to be the most schizo team I've seen this season. They go from beating the Land Thieves in Bedlam to forgetting to get on the damn plane against Central Florida. Hopefully we get the latter version if they manage to backdoor their way into the CCG.
  12. This. It's common for a lot of teams playing a team on the opposite coast to travel out a day early, just so they can acclimate to the time change. I haven't seen how the new Big Ten is going to schedule conference games, but having to do this as many as 3-4 times a year seems like it would get old, particularly when teams like Washington and Oregon have to go play teams like Rutgers and Maryland. The new Big XII will have similar issues with Arizona and Arizona State playing West Virginia and Cincinnati.
  13. Does he, by any chance, ride the short bus to work?
  14. Hillwood Airways is a charter airline used by a lot of schools to fly sports teams around. That same plane flew the aggy men's basketball team to Columbus on Thursday to play their game at Ohio State on Friday night, then flew the team back to Collie Station that same night after the game. I don't know what the plane was headed to Eugene for on Saturday, as I can't find any sporting events involving the Ducks in Philly this week. But flying some big cigars to Eugene would be a hell of a coincidence, especially considering that chartering a private jet to Eugene would be much cheaper than a 737. Then again, aggy has shown recently that they aren't exactly frugal with their money. So who the hell knows.
  15. Not a surprise. They're so desperate to be relevant, they don't think that their "big name" coach du jour would take their job if the contract had offset language in it. aggy is the college football equivalent of what happens when you let your kid who is addicted to Roblox use your credit card to buy Robux - to the tune of thousands of dollars.
  16. He's good. He generally makes good decisions and doesn't throw screen passes behind the LOS when guys are open in the flat, unlike a certain QB we all know and love. Whether his skillset will translate to the NFL is another matter - we shall see. Everybody thought Oregon was done after Herbert went to the NFL, then Nix came along. Lanning will probably pull someone else in via the portal after Nix graduates. It's kind of their thing.
  17. He should have loaned it out to the aggy "hall of champions" so they could see what actual championship trophies look like.
  18. So they just cosplay at being champions. That totally tracks.
  19. Phil Knight is worth over $40 billion. $75 million to a guy like Knight is a rounding error. If Phil Knight wants you to stay, he absolutely has the cash to make it happen.
  20. I'd support aggy poaching Rhule from Corn Aggy, if only to see the spectacular meltdown of Corn Aggy over a program like aggy poaching their coach. 50/50 chance Rhule would work out at aggy...I feel like I've seen this movie before, several times.
  21. I'll give him a pass for now, being his first year and all. But yeah, if he's still pulling this shit in year three, then Ohio State definitely made the right call.
  22. They seriously believe Ryan Day would leave Columbus for that shithole? Holy fuck they're even more delusional than I previously gave them credit for. That's practically Jim Jones level of cult delusion. Though Luke Fickell might have taken that call a year ago when he was still at Cincinnati...he's the dude Ohio State passed over for the HC gig, if memory serves.
