  1. Teams are desperate for QBs. That's the only reason you draft a J.J. McCarthy or a Bo Nix in the Top 20. Both those guys are 3rd-4th round talents. Nix had six years in college and yet, watching him tonight, he's still got happy feet. Dude hardly ever sets his feet and that's how you get those awful throws where he misses two wide open receivers and lands the ball between them. Luckily for him he's facing a lot of depleted and/or awful teams and he's got one of the best defenses in the league helping him out.
  2. Alabama kinda seems like ass this year. Just my .02 cents. If Ewers comes out and plays well, we win this going away. If he comes out like he did last week against OU, we're gonna be in a dogfight (no pun intended).
  3. Eh, I don't know about that. The smarter humans get, the less than hang onto ideas like that. Ancient peoples worshipped the Sun. No one worships the Sun anymore. Except maybe those people who tan their buttholes to increase their Chakra or whatever. The current trend worldwide is less and less people believing in God, a higher power, etc. My argument would be, people tend to believe what they're told. When people didn't know jack about shit, some guy said he had the answers and it came from the Sun, the dude who controls the lightning who we'll call Zeus, or the guy who controls death who looks like a dog that we'll call Anubis. No one is listening to Joe Blow Caveman. He's just a dude. But they might listen if he's spins a story about a supernatural power backing him up. So people get taught to believe in a higher power. Do those kids who get lost in the woods and grow up with wolves and never get human contact or civilizing believe in a higher power? Do you catch them building shrines in the forest out of squirrel skulls? You don't. And of course, it could just be a survival instinct like how people are afraid of the dark because it used to be sabertooth tigers were roaming around and not being able to see them was kinda a big deal. Realizing you're insignificant and vulnerable compared to the world and that the whole thing is much bigger than you probably fosters community, cooperativeness, and less risk taking. The tough part is, there are no other truly self-aware species for us to compare ourselves to. If cows all of a sudden became self-aware, would they believe in Moo-Moo the God of all Beeves who will lead them to endless green fields and salt licks?
  4. And you're so opened minded that what little brain you have has fallen out. You're the type of guy that totally believed there was a Loch Ness Monster because of one grainy photo. Why? Because we don't know everything that could be out there, dude! And then some smart, scientist, narrow minded person said, "Ya know, that kinda looks like a whale dick." And guess what? It really does look exactly like a whale dick. You're the guy who got fooled by whale dick. History will judge you not at all because history doesn't care about people who have wild theories that they can't back up with evidence. I think it's telling how I jump in to jokingly discuss how illogical it is to believe aliens have made it to Earth and are fucking around and then I get dogpiled. Seems like you true believers can't handle even the slightest criticism. Met a lot of religious folks who are the same way. Might want to think about that. It's absolutely fine to believe in aliens or whatever. It's one of those things you'll never be able to prove one way or the other. I really don't care, I just find it funny. If it's leading you and others to start smugly calling folks narrow minded and the like, maybe it's you that has the problem.
  5. Bijan looking great today with the Falcons. They finally got their shit together and had a balanced attack. Their defense still can't rush the passer or stop the run to save their lives, but they're winning games.
  6. If Quinn comes out in good form we blow them out. If he comes out like he did today, it'll be a close game. Luckily for us, the jawja defense ain't what it used to be. They'll let anyone look like a world beater under center.
  7. Right there with ya, man. I had the game up on one screen and the fight up on my second screen. Kept one eyeball glued to each. The JABBR AI stats kind of played out exactly how I thought the fight went. Beterbiev was busier, but missing and landing ineffective shots, while Bivol was landing the better, cleaner work. I really think Bivol fucked himself by taking Round 11 off. Beterbiev wasn't slowing down and Bivol's output dropped in the last three rounds and that's a bad look. Was Beterbiev actually breaking Bivol down? Nah. But perception is reality. And having that war criminal Khadyrov jumping in the ring, hugging Beterbiev, while it was clear Beterbiev's team got the scores early was just a terrible look. This is a guy who has had fighters that fell out with him murdered. Why the fuck is he anywhere near this fight? I thought the Saudis were supposed to be sports washing their image. This is the exact opposite of that.
  8. I have all the psychedelic drugs so, yeah, usually people find me fun at parties. I do have a low tolerance for "bro, aliens are real!" talk at this point because I'm that guy. Sorry, not sorry. Now, people who think the Earth is hollow and that there are lizard people/dinosaurs living down there...
  9. 🙄 There's the ztejas we all know and love. Have a good one, bro.
  10. If Quinn doesn't come out looking like hot garbage, that was a 50-0 beatdown. We consistently gave OU great field position early and all they managed out of it was a FG.
  11. People that buy into wild nonsense make me sad. There is plenty of wonder and excitement and interesting things in the real world without buying into crazy ideas with no basis in reality. Would it be cool if ghosts were real and they were actually people trapped in a different dimension that occasionally cross over to our own? Sure. But it's not true. There's no evidence it's true. Yet people will spend their entire lives believing that shit and making decisions that affect their lives based on those silly beliefs. It's this lack of critical thinking and desire to believe crazy shit that has our democracy teetering on the edge of ruin. But hey, if you want to believe aliens are hiding in the bushes and can only be photographed by potatoes that turn out fuzzy images like with Bigfoot, be my guest.
  12. Beautiful fight. I think Bivol got hard done a bit. The 116-112 card was ridiculous. Beterbiev landed most of his work on Bivol's gloves. I was leaning more towards 115-113 Bivol or a draw.
  13. Wingo faster than Worthy confirmed.
  14. KILL! BURN! MAIM! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!! (I may be a bit too excited, but fuck OU)
  15. WISNER!!!! STOMP THESE FUCKERS OUT!!!
  16. Goddamn why can't this game ever be normal? Always gotta be some crazy nonsense. Thankfully we didn't get fucked this time.
  17. Wingo came to play! Nice fucking play!
  18. His passes are still a bit off, but at least he's not completely hosing them like earlier. Hopefully he's got the jitters out of his system and will be good from here on out.
  19. This. Ewers is just straight deer in the headlights right now. Pull him. He's not ready and the longer we let these chuckle fucks hang around the worse it's going to get.
  20. Obviously there is a lot about the Universe we don't understand. That doesn't make the idea of aliens visiting this planet to probe buttholes any more likely. You'd be making a lot of assumptions that aren't necessarily possible, much less probable. They certainly have no scientific evidence to back them up. Technically anything is possible, but giving any credence to completely out there ideas is pointless besides for entertainment unless you have some actual evidence. The Moon might actually be a giant egg containing a space dragon. Do I need to waste my time worrying about it? Unless someone gets up there and starts drilling into yolk, I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it. That's what we call a coincidence. You vividly remember that one time your supposed intuition was right, but you've forgotten the zillion times it didn't play out.
  21. IIRC, our solar system has a fairly unique setup which has helped life evolve here on Earth. We've got a giant, failed star not too far down the road with Jupiter. It sucks up tons of space debris that would have blasted us. If you truly have a decent grasp on the scale of the Universe, aliens visiting us is hilarious. Somewhere between 100-400 BILLION stars in our Galaxy alone. Almost all of which have planets. That's a lot of territory to have to go check out assuming you've figured out how to break the laws of physics and can teleport around the neighborhood. One thing I learned just the other day was that the Sun doesn't have a steady path on its trip around the Milky Way. You'd think it would just be a nice circular jaunt, orbiting the super massive black hole at the center. Nope. Due to gravitational forces of the stars around us, it essentially bobs up and down. It will go thousands of light years above and below the galactic plane. We are cooking along in what is called the Local Bubble. Interestingly, a super nova blew up millions of years ago and cleared this section of space out. The density of stars in this section of space we're traveling through currently is less than 1/10th of what it is for the rest of the Milky Way. We entered this bubble sometime 5-10 MILLION years ago and we'll still be traveling through it for millions more years to come. So basically, we're at the ass end of nowhere with hardly anything worth looking at. We've been the ass end of nowhere and we're going to continue to be the ass end of nowhere. Yet, out of all the places aliens could check out they decided to come here to probe some buttholes. We certainly didn't call them since radio waves from Earth have only managed to travel 100 light years in the century we've been broadcasting. If you think aliens have visited Earth then you're tacitly saying you believe aliens seeded life on Earth and that they're coming back to check up on us. That's the only idea that makes any real sense. Unless we're saying these aliens have transcended normal reality or some shit, but if they had why bother with us and why fly around in weird ships, not announce themselves, and probe buttholes?
