You feel that way because this team is a few key plays going different from being 6-4.
Of course, last year the team was a few key plays going different from being basically undefeated.
I would just like to see some mistake free football and better coaching decisions. The days of blowing everyone on the schedule out are over, I'm afraid. Too much parity in the game.
Just irks me seeing this team underperform when yet again there's a year we could win the Big12 and make noise in the postseason. I guess that's still on the table, but they're going to have to remove some heads from some asses to get that done.
So rush attempts for RBs in the NFL. Here's how the top guys shake out percentage wise on the amount of carries they get.
J Jacobs: 74%
J Mixon: 74%
D Henry: 67%
K Walker: 67%
T Etienne: 64%
A Mattison: 62%
Brian Robinson 60%
C McCaffrey: 56%
R White: 56%
I Pacheco: 55%
B Hall: 53%
T Pollard: 52%
N Harris: 52%
R Stevenson: 51%
Z Moss: 51%
R Mostert: 48%
J Cook: 47%
D Swift: 47%
Bijan: 38%
And Bijan has a higher YPC (5.0) than all of them except for Mostert and Hall. Some real big-brain shit by Art Smith.
Here's a stat for ya'll. It sounds so dumb that it couldn't possibly be true, but it is.
Bijan has one. ONE carry in the redzone this season.
He's currently averaging 5 YPC. He has 13 less carries than the other RB who is averaging 3.2 YPC.
Art Smith might be the dumbest HC in the NFL. His team has the easiest SOS in the entire league. Half the games they have played this year have been against 1st year QBs or backups. They're currently below .500 with almost the worst offense in the league.
Fire this clown and go hire Brett Bieniemy.
Yeah, I would have mentioned him as well but he's out for this game.
They would occasionally use him in previous weeks. Still not as much as Jonnu, though.
Art Smith is a fucking joke. Guess it pays to have a billionaire daddy who knows people in the NFL to get you a job.
Falcons spent a #4 overall on Pitts. They spent #8 overall on Bijan. Art Smith decides to continually give the ball to Jonnu Smith and Allgeier instead. Can't score a TD to save their fucking lives. Make it make sense.
I was kind of annoyed at how shit we looked today. But this game reminded me that every team sucks. There are no dominant teams in CFB anymore. So just win.
Davis has another half billion laying around to pay Ohtani? If so I'm all for it.
Since that's never going to happen, I'll gladly take keeping Monty and finding another pitcher or three.
Hate to say it, but this team definitely has another loss in them this season.
I'm skeptical they can even get past TCU and ISU unscathed. Then they have to not choke against the Gooners in the title game. All with a backup QB who doesn't know his elbow from his asshole when it comes to running an offense and completing passes. And with Sark giving opposing teams every chance in the world with poor decisions.
They've had all season to figure shit out and play mistake free football. They haven't done it once yet. I doubt they magically turn it around now. Who knows though. Maybe we get lucky like in this game.
KState +9?
If I lived in a betting state I'd have put the fucking house down on that line. This mistake prone, idiot run team can't blow any decent team out. And the Purple Wizards always fuck our shit up.
As usual, weak-minded, mistakes-prone, poorly coached Texas team utterly falls apart and gets beat by a team that they should crush. How many times have I had to watch this movie?
Might should have taken some points earlier in the game. Maybe that's NFL level coaching competence though. Can't expect that of a college coach at a major D1 program. /s
Just the craziest run ever.
Looks like they won't even make the playoffs in September. In position to win the division. Choke. Then they sweep the Rays and Orioles. Go up 2-0 on the Astros and then turn around and drop 3 at home. Win back to back in Houston. Then they ride a Corey Seager 9th inning 2-run homer and an Adolis 11 inning home run to crushing the Snakes.
Bruce Bochy is a fucking savant. He took this bullpen and somehow got them through the entire postseason. Just unbelievable.
