  1. This is what I was telling y'all about in my long bull case. If an acquisition or merger with Steam happens, it's easily a $500 stock.
  2. No, but that story led to us asking Snacks what the latest Financial Times was saying. Gray slacks is a whole different story that is Slacks', I mean Snacks', to tell.
  3. At least I'll look good in my coffin.
  4. Indeed. Everyone is positioned now, in my opinion. HFs will now make money whichever way the wind blows. That might mean that this stock is stuck in a permanent battle of 50 to 150 (helluva range) until something changes with the company. If the company issues more shares, it changes the calculus. If the company is acquired, it rips. If they get cash flow positive long enough to reinstate their dividend, the stock rips. If Cohen leaves or his grand experiment fails, the stock tanks. There's always the possibility that the SEC halts trading to investigate the naked shorts, also. It's a casino, at this point. Some were calling it that before, but it was inevitable the first time around. Now? No clue.
  5. I think someone had inside info on rates going up, which is going to effectively snuff out the latest surge of refis, which is the major chunk of RKT's business, if I recall correctly. But possibly a perfect storm of stock name (Rocket) attracting meme stonkers and people heavily monitoring for short interest caused a squeeze beforehand. Just my theory.
  6. I mean, this might as well be based on every single OU HH.
  7. Keep a realistic price target in mind. Most of these numbers don't take into account any outside elements. Let's be real here, anything above $1k per share is pure lunacy. The market couldn't stomach it threatening $500 per, so anything predicting above that should be viewed with skepticism. Don't expect the market to play fair after they already have shown they won't.
  8. And oil is up almost 2.5%. Interesting times.
  9. So for those of you who are happy that this is happening and are saying that businesses still have the right to make people wear masks, do you also fully support businesses having people who refuse to wear a mask arrested for trespassing when they won't leave? How about suing the people for property damage when we have another round of fit throwing by unstable people like the last time that the state was without a mask mandate?
  10. It would have to close over $800 for every option to close ITM tomorrow. They pushed it way out. Interestingly enough, there are no strikes lower than 20 for 3/5.
  11. Screaming in the AH. Touched 170, at one point. I think a fund just got margin called.
  12. It's not WSB. All of the "meme" stocks popped along with the weed stocks. Not to the level of GME, but 10+% across the board. WSB doesn't control that much total volume in the market. This is a big fish move.
  13. I said a few days back that the math pretty much showed that there was no way for the short interest to fully unwind. I got out and stayed out because I was no longer confident that the powers that be would allow this stock to trade in a free market. The plug will be pulled on this faster, this time around, in my opinion. The market shuddered under the weight of the last squeeze and they'll do everything they can to keep it from happening again.
  14. Woe unto those who shorted or sold naked calls.
  15. There were heroes and heroic actions in the Chernobyl meltdown. Doesn't mean that those in charge of the disaster get to bask in the glory of those who cleaned up their mess.
  16. "Touch me and my dad will sue" has been a joke since the 80s, so Boomers can blame themselves for inventing it.
  17. Griddy canceled the Houston rodeo.
  18. I don't see a negative, either, but has the same headwinds that leaves you to reasonably think weed won't happen and the same reason I can't buy liquor on Sundays. Patrick, et al can scream about the vices Texans now want, but Texans are wanting the energy companies to pay out of pocket for this mess. The billions need to be found somewhere. We now have an unstoppable force heading towards an unmoveable object.
  19. I walked into the garage to leave for the day yesterday and my eyes caught a glint of what looked like pooled water in the garage. My heart jumped into my throat and I slammed the garage door button. It was a ziploc bag that was catching light from a vent in the garage door. I won't be comfortable in my own home for a long while, it seems.
  20. Either way, Texas is stuck with a multi-billion dollar bill that will need to be paid over the course of 10 to 20 years. I think the Ds, if they are smart, will use this coming financial crunch to legalize and tax weed. Texas needs tax revenue, everything else is pretty much locked into their current rates for the foreseeable future, and it is the only thing that I can think of that is new ground to tax for Texas.
  21. Correct. CPS Energy is owned by the City of San Antonio and they are looking to eat the cost over 10 or more years. While this does come out of the tax payers pocket one way or another, there are tourism taxes, bonds, etc. that better assist the city in eating the costs. The privately owned companies, on the other hand... That's going to be a nightmare of litigation if the State doesn't step in.
  22. Don't put your hands on people. It's always been a rule, but the last 20 years really, really make it an unbreakable one. You don't know who is carrying or who has been training MMA since they were 12 like these guys, and all of it will be filmed and put on the internet forever. Lots of videos out there now of little dudes who started training BJJ or MMA from a young age just dicing up a bigger guy. Fighting was a halfway fun past time of dipshittery back in the day. Worst case scenario, you end up in a drunk tank for a night. Now? Usually big consequences.
  23. My Sago is probably gone. Going to trim off all the dead leaves and hope for the best. It was a big, mature one, too. All my rosemary is shot. Just waiting to see if our porch cover plants are dead. Can't really tell based on the leaves, right now.
  24. The thing I would worry about is your defrost sensor might be shot. It's supposed to detect that the line is frozen and go into defrost mode. When mine does that, the fan doesn't spin and the compressor runs, which heats up everything until you're thawed out, then goes back into heat pump mode. Then it flushes the whole system out, cooling it, and start the process over from scratch. It gets real hot in defrost mode. During the freeze, mine would billow steam and I could see water evaporating right off of the compressor. You might want to pop open the blower and see if the coils are frozen in the house. If so, then you might have a problem. If it's just frozen outside, you might be okay. Either way, getting a tech out might be difficult. If the coils are frozen inside, shut the outside down by turning the system off, but keep the fan on to aid in defrosting the inside coils. You might be able to save the compressor if it is just a sensor or the switch shorted out and welded itself into the on position. Edit to clarify: keep the inside fan on, be sure to turn off the breaker before opening up the blower inside.
  25. It is my understanding that they could have started shedding load early. The load frequency plummeted to a low at 59.3, when it should be 60. I had read online people claiming to be in the know that 59.7 starts triggering some automatic shutdowns, which caused the initial blackouts. If ERCOT had planned to shed load earlier and started rolling blackouts sooner, they could have had actual rolls instead of only being able to roll what was left. Basically, they only started rolling after the uncontrolled blackouts occurred. Those that blacked out stayed out, those that were part of the rolls that never came back online were kept offline because capacity kept dropping and they had to start rolling those who were still on rather than bring others back online. In theory, supposedly (qualifiers galore), they could have coordinated a state wide rolling blackout system that kept everyone online for long enough to not freeze to death or lose water. We won't know for months, probably, whether or not that holds true.
