  1. I do not have that much inertia! I know y’all are goofing on sentence structure but just for clarity for the lesser minds on here, I travel a lot for business hence not being consistent with exercise. My basketball skills are fairly decent for my age IMO!
  2. Our corporate office toilets in the executive wing. I tried the bidet function for the first time. A game changer. Cannot get the video to load
  3. This made me laugh. Such a Surly statement. Get well soon Brooks, we need you.
  4. 1-0-1. Both around 12 years or so old. The win was a one swing roundhouse. He had enough. It was a neighborhood tiff. The second was a fight during PE. The gym teacher broke us up and made us hug it out. I have had three more “opportunities” in adulthood. Luckily none of them materialized. All three had the other party being extremely drunk while I was completely sober. Not saying that I was a “Kevin” thinking I could whip any animal, but as things were escalating I was checking out any surrounding advantage that I could use and had placed myself strategically. You know, “old age and treachery will outdo youth and exuberance”. At least that was what I was telling myself!
  5. After a week long set of meetings I am at the Milwaukee airport headed back to the 75650 and the great state of TEXAS!!!
  6. It probably took me 20 minutes to read this because I was laughing so hard it made my eyes water that made it hard to see and read.
  7. Exhibit A of why I only do surface mining.
  8. From Canyon de Chelly getting some hiking in. FIGHT!!!!
  9. Because a lot of the neighborhood is a bunch of young parents that cannot keep their kids up past 7:00pm on a school night. And, it is an inconvenience for the school parents to dress themselves up too and drink their white claws on a school night.
  10. I am at girlfriend’s house tonight helping her hand out Halloween candy over in Shreveport. I am wearing my Horns t-shirt. There are a few Horns that live in her neighborhood. Most people are naturally LSU or LaTech alums. A group of 8 to 10 year old kids come by to collect their candy. One of them is dressed like a Mutant Ninja Turtle. They get their candy and begin to cross the street. While in the middle of the street the ninja turtle kid turns around and yells “horns down, horns down”, while giving me the upside down Horns sign. WTH? No one claimed him. Plus there were too many witnesses for me to chunk a bunch of small pumpkins at him.
  11. I am guessing that he “Work all night on a drink of rum”
  12. From the Tucson airport heading back to the 75650 in the great state of TEXAS!!
  13. I turned 57 this past July. The randomness of ailments that can last for a few minutes, a couple of hours, or a few days are frustrating. I am 5’-11” and around 215 pounds. I am very active but carry most of my weight in my stomach (genetics?). Try to play full court basketball 3 days a week but I travel a lot so that makes it difficult to do. I also try to get at least 10k steps in a day along with some pushups and sit-ups. Having business travels and travel food is difficult to manage. Trying to get back down to my normal weight of 205.
  14. Also, if I recall correctly, the other 6 came against Carthage. Carthage happened to have a world-class sprinter that ran track for TCU, Roscoe Tatum, that broke for a TD run. Daingerfield has, and continues to have, D1 talent with some making it to the NFL. No, I did not go to Daingerfield.
  15. The ‘83 Daingerfield team would like to have a word with you. They gave up 8 points all year in 16 games. 6 of those were given up to a larger classification school. They gave up an average of 1 foot per play.
  16. Recently purchased two pairs of Vans sneakers at a shoe store. Both the same size. Decided to buy a third pair online in a color that I wanted of the same size. The third pair ordered online, of the same size, were too small. Did not fit at all like the other two pair. Another reason why I rarely buy shoes or clothing online. Ugh.
  17. "Working" from home today at the 75650. TEXAS!!!!
  18. My University of Texas coffee cup that I have had for almost 30 years that I exclusively use at my office has come up missing. I was gone on a business trip for 2 weeks and when I returned to my office it was not to be found. I never take it home. I have also looked at home just to be sure. I have checked all of the offices and have put up a "Missing" sign. It is no where to be found. I will probably stumble across it eventaully and I will then post it in the "Getting Old Sucks" thread about forgetfulness. I has the sads.
  19. The Horns had a bye today so we headed to Black Bayou near Monroe, Louisiana. Saw one gator and this Rough Green Snek and Western Ribbon Snek.
  20. Yes, it was white. I witnessed it getting towed one morning with her out there vehemently protesting. It was right outside of my dorm window in Moore Hill.
  21. The company I work for used to run a mini mill onsite. We had a 60,000V electric arc furnace where we would melt scrap iron to pour into ingots. It never got old watching that process.
  22. Not necessarily trivial but certainly makes me surly. This past Saturday afternoon I took my two young granddaughters (4-1/2 years old and 3-1/2 years old) to Jurassic Quest at the Shreveport Convention Center. I paid to park in the Convention Center parking garage. While we were having an enjoyable time someone took it upon themselves to vandalize my truck. They did not break into my truck but just put a dent in my tailgate. I reported it to on-site security on Saturday. Today they manager called and said, “Sorry, we have signs posted that they are not responsible for damages to your vehicle”. They have security cameras but only at the entrance and exit. Security is there just to watch the cashiers. Ugh. Twice now my truck has been damaged by others with me to either fix or live with. Mean people suck.
  23. The Rock’s little brother?
  24. Good things happen when you run the ball
