  1. Just watched this on a flight from SLC. Despite being in a pressurized cabin it got a bit dusty in there. I really enjoyed it.
  2. Alan Hale was great in everything that he did. And, he was in a buttload of movies.
  3. I had a similar experience on a flight from SHV to DFW. I was sitting across the aisle from Coach Robinson and his wife. The flight attendant was going through her pre-flight speech about the seatbelts, exits, etc. While she was going through her talk Robinson was reading the newspaper. You could tell that she was getting irritated that he was blatantly not paying her any attention. After she completed the instructions she looked at him and said, "Sir, would you mind telling me anything that I just said?". He folded up the newspaper, placed it in his lap and proceeded to recite, verbatim, her speech back to her complete with the hand motions. It was awesome. She just stood there with the most stupid and embarrassed look of all time. He did not seem the least bit perturbed. Once the flight took off a young Grambling alum came forward to introduce himself to Robinson. Both of them were headed to Chicago. Robinson was going for some event and the young man going to visit some friends. Robinson was super friendly to the point that he ended up inviting the young man to come to the event with him and his wife. My girlfriend is a physical therapist that used to work in the Ruston area. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were her patients for a time. She said that you could not meet a nicer pair of people. I am sure that he is having issues from above with this hiring decision.
  4. SIAP. People who drag their butts getting on and off of elevators. Put your phone away long enough to pay attention.
  5. Based upon your orignal post you have really narrowed down your opportunities. I agree with Jerry Callo, give DC and the surrounding area a try. However, pay attention to the museums in DC schedule's when planning as they are not all open everyday and they have varying days of being open. Secondly, the Air & Space Museum on the National Mall is undergoing renovations so a large part of it is closed. Some of the museums require a $1 ticket purchased in advance for scheduled entry through www.recreation.gov
  6. I would buy this book. Then again, I am the one that stops on road trips to read such things.
  7. This right here. The handle is missing from the rope that is attached to my automatic garage door opener for manual release. When the garage door is up the rope hangs (used to) right at the vehicle door space.

Can’t run out of sight in a day Runs too long in the same place Take your time leaving (a favorite of my grandmother’s when we got up to leave. She would stand in the doorway and waved at us while we backed out of the driveway and until we drove out of sight) From can to can’t Weight is what broke the bridge down (a favorite of my dad’s when I told him to wait or hold on) She could suck the chrome off of a trailer hitch Take a long walk on a short pier
  9. Me too. My only problem was money! If I wasn’t in class I was working to pay for school. Fortunately for me, my job has allowed me to travel the world at an age where I probably enjoy and understand it more.
  10. 407’ with a +\-11’ error.
  11. This is not uncommon to have varying delays. It is happening in my industry. You are waiting on one part which is the pacing item. You then find out something else is going to be late the next day by a different supplier. That now becomes the new pacing item.
  12. Oh good Lord. How can he say that other than to create drama and/or become an attention whore? Who did he list ahead of him and by what criteria did he make such a comment?
  13. Yes, something wrong with middle finger on left hand. I am out.
  14. Read up-thread...I got head-butted playing basketball on a rebound.
  15. The Star Spangled Banner always gets me in the feels.
  16. Having a freshly broken nose and having to wear glasses to see anything is a crappy combination.
  17. I always looked forward to the annual yearbook update/review copy that has the year emblazoned on the spine.
  18. Not India. Way too clean. Not enough cars and people. No horns blaring. Plus the cars are on the wrong side of the street. And the cow is way too healthy looking. Been there numerous times. I know way too well.
  19. Broke my nose today playing basketball. Got head-butted under the goal. My nose is all crooked now. Not necessarily an “age” thing but I am getting too old to be dealing with crap like this. I haven’t been hit that hard in forever. Slightly concussed as well. Got all lightheaded, tingly, and losT my color for a while.
  20. I would be even more worthless if I lived anywhere near Yellowstone that I could visit often. I have only been twice in my life but I find it such a beautiful and wild place that would never get old.
  21. A.
  22. Did you really expect any other answer? I used to have the same issue.
  23. Went to Yellowstone in October 2020. Came across the "wolf fanatics" looking through high-powered Hubble Telescope type lenses. I got my binoculars out but could not spot them. Fortunately the people shared their scopes with us so that we could see them. Just hearing them howl sent a chill down your spine.
  24. Glad that you are OK but your original posting was alarming because it read as something out of no where!
  25. Have you wakened up this morning? If so, go to the doctor to find out what happened. If you did not wake up, shame on you for not going to the hospital last night.
