  1. Pre-Covid we used to have a lot of customers, both domestic and international, visit our facility in Longview. We would always take them to the Country Tavern off of 31. For me, their ribs are second to none along with their sauce. The "original" Bodacious on Mobberly (across from LeTourneau University) was voted in the Top 5 by Texas Monthly a couple of years ago. Their brisket is pretty solid but their ribs are a bit dry. We were having Bodacious catered to our facility weekly prior to Covid.
  2. Yes, major airports will have both usually. However, I have been to some very remote airports visiting mine sites which which are little more than landing strips. I was at an airport above the Arctic Circle in Russia once and they were still using an Abacus to count money!
  3. The toilet paper dispenser is outside of the two stalls at the airport in Riohacha, Colombia. You really need to pay attention before you go and drop a deuce at an international toilet. I have been to several foreign countries where you had to squat and straddle a hole in the ground. There is also usually a trash can by the toilet to throw your used TP away since the plumbing cannot handle such waste.
  4. There is a roundabout in my GF’s posh neighborhood in SHV. It has STOP signs at all four entrances to the circle. Stupid, and yes, there are some who stop.
  5. Watched Almost Famous for the first time last night. I really enjoyed it. It drew me in to see the ultimate development. I have seen Errol Flynn as Robin Hood multiple times. It never gets old.
  6. I have thought about it but I could not get very far very fast. Looks like I-35 on Game Day.
  7. I go to the Canton Trade Days fairly regularly. I am very specific on what I look for (WW2 militaria) so I can cover a lot of area in a hurry because I can usually skip most booths that I can tell will not have anything by a quick glance. I try to go on a Friday when it is less crowded. However, despite my best efforts of a quick trip it is always slowed down by folks on electric scooters randomly running around and stopping in the middle of the lane to get off and, in a perfectly healthy walk, get off an go look in the booths. Many drive too fast and turn without looking. The worst are the ones that are pulling a wagon. I hate it. I understand that there are some that need them but most do not. I have been yelled at more than once by pushing someone’s ride out of the way. I just stop and say, “well come move it then”. Usually get a perturbed look in return but I continue to push out of the way in an opposite direction.
  8. A number of years ago when my son was 11 or 12 we went to a hockey game with his youth group from church. A fight ensued during the game and the fans were yelling at the visiting team's goon. As things begin to quiet down my son stands up and yells "you suck!!" Being that we were at a "church" event I said that we should not say that. He looks at me and says, "Dad, you let me yell 'OU SUCKS' at the Texas football games". I said, "Yeah, but that is different." A proud dad I am!
  9. He is also the same man that had an affair with Wh...Whoo...Whoopi...Whoopie Goldberg. Ugh, I struggled to get that out.
  10. Personally I do not like it. That is all I have to say about it.
  11. Who decides what a classic is besides age of the film? I would assume that there are a lot of movies on TCM that now have a great following that, at the time of release, were not well received. And, am sure that there were blockbusters back in the day that no one cares for today.
  12. This development has me curious as to how much “modern” content they will begin to show. I like me so real old movies.
  13. You physically gave them a ride in your vehicle? Didn’t you read the dude’s hand explicitly telling you to “stay away”?!
  14. Came here to post this. Had plenty of time to work for a better shot(s).
  15. I am embarrassed for your buddy's dog.
  16. The commentators are awesome in this video! Earl is...well, Earl.
  17. Enjoyable watch for some reason! Athletic big dude.
  18. Would like to see a Lewis and Clark feature too!
  19. I know the words from Gilligan's Island. You can also throw in the Beverly Hillbillies and the Brady Bunch. Many of those shows back then had catchy tunes.
  20. Lat22, you put a hex/jinx on me. I have not torn my Achilles but it is feeling a little wonky the last week or so. So, thanks!!!! lol Will continue to stretch and take a couple of days off to give it a break.
  21. Yes, like most things, the more you do something the more experienced you get. Doesn’t necessarily you are “comfortable” with it. Maybe a better word is more confident in knowing what to expect.
  22. Will have to pick up the DVD and add it to my "to watch" list. I am sure that I will pick up a lot more things as well since I was 12 when it came out the first time. have not seen it since.
  23. I have always been fascinated with the “West” and the westward expansion, exploration, etc. I remember watching this when it first came out as a kid. Have not seen it since.
  24. This right here. I read my first LL book while in the 6th grade. At one point I had read all of his books but then they started to find other writings and I lost track.
