  1. From an IP perspective, any issues with "recycling" ESPN's data through the apis? Do they have terms and conditions for the re-use or is it just open-source or something similar?
  2. Well, I think I disagree. While their shortsightedness is evident in hindsight, they crafted a revolutionary form of government when their peers, notably France, failed miserably in a relatively short period of time, while ours has endured to the present. And, while racially and ethno-religiousy pretty homogeneous, they put together quite an array of factions and interests to do it.
  3. So, bizarre thing. Starts out as some kind of MAGA discrimination case, then turns into a racial discrimination case. By a black MAGAt. I have been told repeatedly, on this very thread, that racism and discrimination are no longer a thing. Anyway, she's representing herself. This is DOA.
  4. Are we not doing Scipio anymore? Is Scipio not doing Scipio anymore?
  5. So, what's the actual story on Gabriel? He was pretty damn good. Did they really anoint Arnold? Tell Gabriel to get lost? Did he lose out on a QB competition? Or were things just sufficiently unclear that Gabriel decided to GTFO?
  6. Haha, no more in terms of attraction/relationships. I make the elementary and probably wrong assumption that bears like cubs and vice versa, like tops like bottoms, etc. Of course, I realize gay relationships are as manifold as hetero ones. But if you're going to bother adopting a "persona" like "bear," then you might thing some superficiality comes along with that. Of course, maybe bear is a label attached to hairy mesomorphs, whether they adopt the "bear lifestyle" or not. Like, in my younger days, I might have been described as a Twink as a not very hairy ectomorph. But I'm not gay, effeminate, or probably not that cute, but I still might be a twink. This is such a classic derail, I love it. Thanks for the insight.
  7. So, in 1992 or 1993, I got talked into going to the Cotton Bowl with a law school buddy in town for the game, without a ticket. Historically, below-face tickets were easy to acquire outside the fairgrounds, but we were having no such luck. No one was selling a single, and they all wanted too much for their pairs or threes. So, I went in, had my corn dogs and wax cup beers thinking after the game started a ticket would be easily acquired at reasonable cost, or, failing that, I could watch the first half sitting at a picnic table in front of the CB on someone's portable TV, which seemed to be a thing back then. Also, that was about the time they started stamping you if you went out at halftime, so a ticket stub was not guaranteed admission to the second half. I was hungover to begin with and had several wax cup beers. After kickoff, friend went in and there was no one outside the CB and no one materialized with a portable TV. Or with cheap tickets. So, I wandered over to the lagoon and sat down with my back against a tree and proceeded to nod off/pass out. I was awakened by some hispanic kids tugging on my shoes, attempting to steal them. I think I made it in for the second half by licking someone's stamp and pressing it on my hand. That's my unpleasant RRS story. /csb
  8. Well, a great deal of the appeal or cultural significance of rap, particularly gangsta rap, is lived experience.
  9. Well, they're bumbledicking around with a blOwU team that can't offense out of a wet paper bag.
  10. I'd say jury's still kinda out on Tenn, but blOwU suuuuucks. But we knew that.
  11. Well, if you analyze my post carefully, it reflects that understanding. What I don't know is bear on bear, or bear on cub.
  12. I was surprised to see that 26 states have some kind of "business court." Possibly not an horrible idea in and of itself. But, politics aside, creating a special-jurisdiction court for business and governmental matters seems like bad idea jeans, as the two subjects generally have little to do with one another.
  13. Wouldn't one be a bear and the other a cub? I guess they're still bears, but what do I know?

  15. ESPN != espn+ Apparently, some cable providers include SEC+ and some don't, so ESPN through cable may or may not give it to you. ESPN+ is a separate deal entirely.
  16. Perhaps I should amend to say surface warfare naval movies.
  17. And we need more naval movies, tbh.
  18. I don't think he did that at all. Just "resigned" from management positions and turned them over to Donnie and Eric. Which, of course, is bad-faith compliance.
  19. I did a quick look. Nevada law permits modification of an irrevocable trust if trustees and beneficiaries all agree. That, apparently, is unusual. The general rule for judicial modification of an irrevocable trust seems to be that the trust fails of its essential purpose at the time of creation, for some reason, tempered by consideration of the beneficiaries. So, if a proposed change discriminates against a beneficiary or alters the original arrangement with respect to a beneficiary, then it won't be granted.
  20. Where the hell is @Patricio Swayze
  21. My issue. As in, Twicehorn died without issue. As far as he knows, or anyone else.
  22. If it's a closed system, the water "loss" would be relatively negligible. If it uses open-air chilling towers, though, I guess less so. Nonetheless, a shit ton of water is taken out of the water system for these purposes. At some point, most of it would be returned, seemingly.
