I was 100% positive the astros would end up with wheeler if MadBum or Grienke didn’t happen. I know it’s the Mets but shit, what could they have possibly wanted that prevented Luhnow from making that deal?
That’s why I threw in the if. Cole has no desire to pitch for non-contenders. He was miserable in Pittsburgh even though they made the wild card game. He and his wife like Houston and he wants a ring. If Luhnow offered 125/5 Cole would sign. It’d be idiotic for Luhnow not to jump on that.
Cole isn’t going anywhere. He’s happy in Houston and doesn’t want to pitch for a shitty team again. Give Whitley, Kemp, and another piece to Detroit for Boyd and Greene and call it a day
Ah yes because Munoz (while at full speed) slides, stops himself and actively tries to avoid Correa, and then accidentally toe taps Correa’s elbow means he should be thrown at. It’s called breaking up a double play and Munoz did everything correctly (he could still easily reach 2nd base) except Knick Correa’s elbow with the tip of his shoe.
It was October 17, 2005.....my 15th birthday. I went from such a high when Berkman went deep to take the lead to such a low from that HR. People don’t forget Houston is also winless on that day in franchise history, I blame my parents.
I’m stuck watching the rangers feed at a friends. Their announcers are insufferable. First it was bitching about MMP dimensions and then they shifted to Houston left the roof closed all day to make it cooler and dampen the flight of the ball.
