  1. I love mayo, but would rather choke down a dry sandwich than consume the tiniest amount of the abomination that is falsely named miracle whip. But, if Quinn Ewers likes miracle whip, I will allow it.
  2. Our construction project has about 115 recessed light cans. The builder is about ready to buy and install LED retrofit trim kits. Our job specs call for Halo, with which we were very happy in the old house. The builder is pushing Nora, because it is what his supplier pushes. The specs are comparable, other than lumens - Halo is 940; Nora is 1100. Agreeing to Nora will save about $750. But, I've never heard of Nora, for which the few reviews I can find are pretty mixed. Does anyone have experience with Nora LED trim kits? If it matters, the specific models in question are Halo RL56099S1EWHR and Nora NOXTW-5632WW.
  3. Lamb chops (Costco), mac & cheese, and eggplant parm, washed down with pinot noir.
  4. The voice of UT football for me. The best!
  5. We are building an elevated house (6') and are trying to plan for the possible future need for a wheelchair lift. We have sufficient space (per several lift dealers) to add a lift next to the garage stairs. But the illustration in the plans does not look like the stair landing would be sufficient for someone to actually get in and out of the house in a wheelchair without tumbling down the stairs. Anyone have a sense of how far the landing should extend beyond the door before reaching the first stair riser, so that a person in a wheelchair could get to and from the lift, and in and out of the house, without doing a Monty Python down the stairs?
  6. This is correct. But, his last name is still just Bennett.

I was going to come post about this guy, a longtime tenant at the OG. Glad to hear he has survived redevelopment.
  8. See Jimmyjazz, Page 1, Post #16.
  9. I made a meatless batch for tamale gravy. After sautéing the onions and garlic, with about 1/2 of the spices, everything went into the Vitamix, before simmering for a few hours.
  10. To be a coordinator for aggy, because Jimbo is going to win all the championships!
  11. Any thoughts on finagling a Pfizer booster does for a 14 year old who is more than 6 months post 2nd dose? A month ago - pre-Omicron - a physician plugged into Texas Children's research told me that the thinking was that kids had better and longer lasting vaccine immunity. He suggested watching the numbers when kids return to school in January - that if there is a spike in cases in area middle schools after winter break, that is the time to get my kids a booster (approved or not). But, now Omicron and two weeks of super spreader events on the horizon. The only contraindication seems to be the increased risk of endo/pericarditis, but there is also similar increased risk of that from Covid itself. In the meantime, Israel has been aggressively giving booster shots to 12-15 year old kids for several months, with no reported material issues....
  12. I’ve been thinking it’s about time for a “when does Sark fall off the wagon?” bingo card.
  13. I’m not laughing. I can’t even enjoy the aggy misery.
