8.5. Should have stuck the landing.

I tried to resist, but it’s futile.

Funny, but we have better graphics.
  4. I sure hope we’re not talking about this in 5 hours.
  5. OU game back to second week of ACL.
  6. Been meaning to try it for some time, and finally did for HRW - very impressed. But, we did get a bit of a snooty response to rejecting a bottle of wine - an assumption that the wine was fine and an offer for us to select a different bottle. No, asshole, taste this shit and bring us another bottle of this wine.
  7. Can’t comment on last year, which I missed due to Harvey, but I thought this was the best top to bottom lineup in several years. I’m thrilled with the artist booking shift from rap/hiphop/EDM back to rock and roll. That said, fuck Travis Scott for his noise pollution during Arctic Monkeys.
  8. Just renewed 2 radios at 6 for $30 each. Couldn't get them to bite on 3 years for $99.
  9. Any suggestions on a restaurant that will take a reservation and has a private room that can seat about 20 people for pre ACL brunch? Thanks.

    Apathy

I was sure that football season would help boost my post count into NSAA, but it will not and I don't give a fuck. I was pissed when I realized I am going to be at an out of town Bat Mitzvah during the OUsux game, but I'm over it.
  11. I don't understand. Please restate in MS Paint.
  12. Strongly recommend Acetaia di Giorgio in Modena, followed by lunch at Osteria da Ermes.
  13. Just logging in, and I’m not reading anything already posted, but I sure hope I’m not the first to say - Spencer Tillman is a worthless piece of okie shit.
  14. I have a nice 5.1 setup, with wall mounted speakers. With the new build, I hope to keep them on the walls or on stands. If I move to 7.1, my preference would be to shift my mains to the rear, and add compatible floor standing speakers as the new mains. The only ceiling mounted speakers would be for Atmos. But, the room may not end up large enough to really take advantage of this. How deep of a room do I need to really utilize a 7.1 setup?
  15. Does this mean that I will still be bombarded with targeted ads for things I've either already purchased or decided not to purchase?
  16. OK, shifting the discussion a bit, any thoughts on minimum room size/depth to utilize overhead atmos speakers? I guess even with 5.1, I could put a pair above, or maybe slightly forward, of the listening sweet seat. But, to really get the benefit of a 7.1.4 setup, how big of a room do I need to have?
  17. We will not skimp on cat6a cable. That was my thinking. We likely wire for surround at HT location, but otherwise eventually end up with something like Sonos for background/ambient music around the house. Definitely thinking flush mount LED units rather than LED bulbs in traditional cans. Have now stumbled upon Lutron Caseta as a way to smart control them.
  18. When I gave up my dedicated audio space and $10K in stereo equipment a few years ago, I got a firm commitment that I would have full and perpetual control over the HT space in the den. But, we'll see how that goes, because we all know that pussy always wins.
  19. Anyone making a combo gas/induction cooktop, or single or double induction unit that can be built-in next to the gas cooktop?
