  1. Guns up penalty, followed by tortillas flying penalty. Both are both BS. But, I will be laughing my ass off.
  2. I was part of an unsuccessful grassroots movement to rename Baytown Lee a few years ago. I am sure my former townspeople are sad at losing their bragging rights to being the only remaining REL high school in the county.

I did not know them before ACL 2022. They were a highlight of my weekend.
  4. But, the top teams also keep piling on the wins. By 2030, there may be 5 over the 1000 win mark.
  5. Shit. I was just about to pull the trigger on a McJaggerson jersey, but now I must consider CT Jaggering....
  6. That was a terrific lunch spot. I had an entertaining encounter there with Barbara Bush. It was post-presidency and she pulled up - parked next to me - with a girlfriend for lunch, without any secret service or other security of any kind. Blew my mind.
  7. This is terrible news. I discovered and started regularly eating at Pico's within a few months of their original opening on Bellaire Blvd. Fajitas, Chilorio, chiles in nogada, soft shell crabs, shaker margaritas.... I have no idea who can replace them on my rotation. [Xalisco would be the clear choice if they were not in the Woodlands.]. The only people I know happy about this are my internist and cardiologist.
  8. Fuck Jeff Fisher.
  9. Lamb Shank Cassoulet
  10. I sustained full thickness, partial rotator cuff tear in January. The surgeon was fairly optimistic that PT might do the trick. But, while PT has been positive - increased strength, improved range of motion, and somewhat reduced pain, it is all relative. It is my dominant arm and there is discomfort all day long with anything that engages the rotator cuff - opening a door, holding card key out the car window to enter my office parking garage, upward resistance against a towel when drying off after a shower.... And, the dog is pissed that I no longer throw him tennis balls. I've just scheduled an ortho follow-up for next week to talk next steps. Furk!
  11. Tossed around like a fucking rag doll....
  12. Thank you for protecting us from this caballo de troya. Every one of these "baseball players" and their paternal chaperones, are secret Tren de Aragua, coming here to rape and murder. God bless you Mr. Trump.
  13. It's like the drug world - when you get stiffed on payment for your product, you can't exactly go to the police. The only leverage in such disputes is thuggery, leverage that neither Trump nor Epstein had in the 1990s and early 2000s. Only more recently did Trump gain the ability to kill his problems away. I expect Ghislaine understands her current options.
  14. I am taking my first shot at starting new fall tomato plants from sucker cuttings. I've got several cuttings from the two plants that were most prolific for me in the spring - Matt's Wild Cherry and JD’s Special C-Tex (Texas Early Black). I'm told that if they root/take, they will produce as soon as temps fall into the range, without having to wait the stated number of days from transplant to production as for new plants. We'll see....
  15. Nothing like the sting of losing Chief Wahoo McDaniel!
  16. My sister-in-law grew up in this Indianapolis house. The architect told her parents that he always wanted to design something based on Truilli architecture, and they told him to go for it....
  17. Looking for Torbush rep emoji.
  18. Done. Chai x 10.
  19. Was just in the car for a bit and listened on FOX for about 5 minutes. The lying and distraction is strong. The two big nuggets I heard in that brief time were (1) Nothing like this has ever happened before, and (2) the Federal response was immediate and perfect.
  20. Texas Monthly. Litigation - even expensive litigation - ending 13-14 years ago, should not be a factor in this tragedy. Certainly, no impact on government failures. And, hard to imagine it prevented them from staying up and remaining plugged in, posting a watchman, etc. on a night that called for it.
