A few recent grabs to keep it going: ZZ Top Wordwide Texas Tour promo. I usually don’t get stuff like this, but it was apparently done from the actual master tapes and it sounds like it. Since they’re tracks from their best era, even better. A few Japanese pressings. Japanese mastering choices can be hit or miss, but anything with PJ or SMJ in the catalog number for Jazz (Prestige and Riverside titles, mostly) is really excellent, IMO. Here are a few with an Atlantic Coltrane which is also done well. I have a few Japanese Zeppelin pressings, and I can say that these very first issues with MT catalog numbers and Blue/Green Atlantic labels are actually pretty great sounding. They existed for Zep I-III, though I only own copies of II and III. I have 3 RL Zeppelin IIs, and this is just behind those, probably comparable to a George Piros cut from ‘77. The later Warner Pioneer issues got progressively worse.
