  1. From our first event notes of the year, a nice a simple track limit section.
  2. Two good Astro channels: https://youtube.com/c/PhotogAdventures - He is very long winded but has good info of you can stand it/filter through it. https://youtube.com/c/LonelySpeck - Also has some good tutorials on some good applications if you use a Mac (Starry Sky Stacker and Starry Landscape Stacker).

  4. Yeah, Carlos has a cooler head on him and is able to maximize the skills he does have much more efficiently, because he’s a Smooth Operator. We will see if Charles can tame his. Also agree that they are pretty likable these days.
  5. I was considering bringing this one up, but you did it for me, hahah. I remember!
  6. Charles is a better qualifier, but I think Carlos is a little better in race trim.
  7. One of these is good enough unless there’s some stuff really stuck to it. You’ll also notice dust more at higher number (smaller physically) apertures. Giottos AA1900 Rocket Air Blaster Large - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00017LSPI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_3W9GNYYJ4QBFQZPV64BQ Wet cleaning a sensor isn’t that hard to do either if you need to. There are kits on Amazon, and plenty of YouTube videos.
  8. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/f1-clarifies-safety-car-rules-after-abu-dhabi-controversies-/9025019/ So they clarified it to mean what most of us already thought it meant. Ergo, Masi fucked up (duh). That’s as close as we will get to them admitting it.
  9. One other note, the sensor looks dirty (can see dust specks). I’d recommend a rocket air blower to try and blow it off of there. You can also wet clean it yourself if you’re comfortable doing that.
  10. Well that was a damn successful first trip with it. Hell of a job! I think the processing on the very first MW shot is the best. Great job!!
  11. At least Buxton was kept to a relative minimum this time, and to be honest, I didn’t really notice much fabricated stuff, fake rivalries etc, aside from the normal editing oddities. They did leave a lot out, but in the end it wasn’t really stuff that would have changed the story, so I can understand, I guess. I think the actual F1 season was so strong on its own that they didn’t really have to add much BS.
  12. It sounds like they are trying to prepare a new floor for this week. If you notice, their floor in front of the rear tire is very plain, compared to say Ferrari and McLaren. Wonder if we might see some development there.
  13. Brown and Andretti go way back, so it makes sense.
  14. What are some good spots around FW? I have been wanting to check out the FW Nature Center & Refuge.
  15. It does seem like they (merc) really are having some issues that they still need to work out, though. I’m sure they will get there, but I don’t know that it will be by next weekend. Of course, this kind of happened last year and in 2019, too.
  16. You can also watch F2/F3 on F1TV.
  17. Porpoising won’t be an issue, teams just have to find the threshold. Merc slammed the car to the ground today trying to find the limit.
  18. Yep, have used this or other ones for years. Great to have.
  19. Red Bull should be getting their updates on starting tomorrow.
  20. I don’t think they are using anything different coolant wise, since they still have normal looking radiators (they’re just stuffed way into the monocoque), but even if they did, all component cooling is separate from PU components provided by the PU manufacturer. They supply the PU cooling requirements, but it’s up to the individual teams to get to that number.
