  1. Ok, third time’s the charm for Alpine. Here are renders of the “actual car”.
  2. So that’s not the livery apparently. I guess this is. Which still isn’t great but better than all pink.
  3. RIP Black Merc. The first time we saw it on TV: https://streamable.com/kkrfv3
  4. Some on track shots: And the F1-75 at Fiorano
  5. The render is incredibly different from the real car. Top images are render, bottom is the W13 on stage. Few more studio shots: At Silverstone this morning, Lewis getting in some trackside engineer work: I wish it was black, too, but at least the livery still looks pretty good.
  6. Interestingly, they did not change suspension layout as had been heavily rumored.
  7. And hello, Ferrari. The leak was genuine. Sidepods have a funny concave flow to them, but they’re very wide and have zero undercut, so I do wonder how they will feed the floor. Looks really cool, though.
  8. Goodbye, Michael Masi. https://www.fia.com/news/fia-president-mohammed-ben-sulayem-opens-way-new-step-forward-formula-1-refereeing
  9. Sidepods are toit like a toiger with them going centerline cooling (thicker airbox area and smaller sidepods).
  10. Just get you one of these. https://reverb.com/item/42142761-fender-freddie-tavares-aloha-stratocaster-w-ohsc-1994-chrome?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=42142761
  11. Yes, because qualifying and racing are two different things.
  12. Since there are no barge boards now, the teams have pushed the side pods way further forward than before (check the AT comparison photo above, where the inlet is now basically where the front of the halo is mounted, vs at or behind the driver’s head before) which I think helps a lot with the car proportions.
  13. Last year, the “official” pole-sitter was the winner of the sprint race. They are changing that so that the official record of winning pole is from going fastest during qualifying, which is how it should be. Example: Lewis won pole at Silverstone, but Max won the sprint race, so Max got the actual stat in the record books for “winning pole”. That will be opposite now. Essentially this just further enforces the fact that the race is simply a two part race during sprint weekends. Overall these are positive changes (from before), but I’d still prefer 1) No sprint races, but if not that then 2) Totally decouple the sprint and it’s results from the actual race entirely.
  14. Confirmed pullrod front suspension but also……..rear pushrod??? Kind of a weird angle there. Pretty interesting.
  15. Well they are now very low, so they can get floor damage!
  16. Well, the RB18 wasn’t the RB18 in any sense, since it was literally the Dallara show car painted with a Red Bull livery. The Aston is their actual car.
