  1. Chainbear is awesome but his channel name causes me great consternation. Such a weird one.
  2. I had Rodgers offered to me for basically peanuts in my 10 team, and I took it, originally planning on flipping him. Pretty glad I decided to keep him now, since he’s been the better play over Lamar the past several weeks, even on that fucked up toe.
  3. Yes. I like George. The Imola incident made a poor impression, but he will mature. He needs to work on his race pace, but he’s a great qualifier, obviously.
  4. I have been actually wondering what I’d like to do once Lewis retires. It would be an interesting perspective to have “no” driver, but I think I will start from a total clean slate and be an Oscar Piastri fan.
  5. Depends on the person, but most are a little of both. I was a Lewis fan but then obv became a Mercedes fan when he went there, and I like how they do their race debriefs and other videos on their YouTube channel. They look like the empire sometimes, but it’s a very well-run culture over there. Tifosi (Ferrari fans) are crazy, but they are passionate for sure.
  6. It was a private event with no cameras/video allowed, so it sounds like they want to find the source of the leak.
  7. Hell it wasn’t even that long ago when Seb told Charlie to fuck off. Drivers say weird shit when in the car. Kimi is an outright asshole and gets praised for it. None of it bothers me either way.
  8. Andrew Jarvis. Max’s is Gianpiero Lambiase.
  9. Weird comment. I’m a huge Lewis fan. So is Vicerous. Goofy too, of course. Vicerous and I used to post a lot more on the old threads on Shaggy (I was RottenBananas then). I generally like the entire grid aside from Max. I do respect Alonso a ton but he’s not my thing. I think the grid has a shitload of talent on it right now.
  10. Also, this is really damn cool that your kid is karting.
  11. Lol, we were both editing our posts at the same time.
  12. No, but you made it seem like anyone who has followed the sport for a long time doesn’t like him, like all of his fans are new or something. If you’d have said *some* people, sure. I see what you were getting at, though.
  13. I’d say that is pretty false. There are tons of us who have followed him since McLaren.
  14. This is an excellent post and I fully agree with it. I also think they are in over their heads, but to be fair, they didn’t have much of a choice and so they are going for it, and from that point it is at least admirable. Long term they really need someone like Porsche/Volkswagen to step in (I’m sure you’d LOVE that, hahah). FWIW, the 2025 PU is essentially the current one without the MGU-H and some other tweaks to be optimized for natural aspiration. Another side note to some of the other discussion here, but since Mercedes returned as an engine manufacturer, they have always had class-leading mills. If not the best, right there at the top. They literally partnered with and eventually took over Ilmor, who was already a giant in the racing engine world at the time, and became even better. If you want a cool Ilmor-Mercedes engine story, read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_500I_engine?wprov=sfti1
  15. I think the FIA/Masi would get eviscerated in court. However, at this point I think that the only realistic outcome would be monetary damages.
  16. The lapped cars thing is an either/or decision. According to Lando, they get told to unlap about half the time on SC restarts (likely depending on how long the SC is). Also, lol. This is just last year. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/fia-race-director-masi-explains-norris-f1-eifel-gp-safety-car-decision-4978255/4978255/ Masi said that was the only reason for the length of the safety car. "That one was the fact that we had to, there's a requirement in the sporting regulations, to wave all lapped cars past," Masi said. "I think from that point, it was position 6 onwards that was still running. "So 10, 11 cars, that had to unlap themselves, and therefore the safety car period was a bit longer than what we would have normally expected."
  17. Just as we all predicted.
  18. Are you saying that a competent race director is going to OK cars to unlap while there is still personnel and heavy equipment on the track?
  19. No, cars unlap after the track is cleared.
  20. Well Masi is a huge dope, so it’s an open and shut case, Johnson!
  21. I think is the part that bothers me the most: The Race Director stated that the purpose of Article 48.12 was to remove those lapped cars that would “interfere” in the racing between the leaders. Masi knows here that Lewis has zero chance to hold off Max, and just basically admitted to having a huge effect on the results, and indirectly said that it was all for show and that the midfield doesn’t matter.
