  1. I re-watched the second half today... you know, just to gloat or whatever. Kansas' shot selection in the second half was just horrid. They didn't go right at the rim, because Texas is really long and athletic. They ended up taking a lot of running shots where they were sweeping across the paint or down toward the baseline... but not really AT the rim. Very low % shots. Must have been frustrating to be a KU fan and think about how much NBA talent was on the roster, and yet *those* were the shots you were getting.... ugh. No reason this Texas team shouldn't be playing in a regional final on the second tourney weekend. Really just depends on two things, IMO... 1) Shot selection. I think the Bilas commentary was 100% on-the-money. A big part of why Texas was on fire from behind the arc is because we were being patient and using dribble penetration to set up teammates. Our 3's were in-rhythm squared-up catch-and-shoots. There were very few hero-ball step-backs. 2). Don't pick up a bunch of stupid reach-in fouls 30 feet from the basket in the first 5 minutes of every half. Our team looks really good this year, but we still like to give away cheap fouls by slapping at the other team right after they secure a rebound, or when they're setting ball screens way out near half court.
  2. Man, how fucking horribad is the PAC12? Their champion got rolled by Iowa State. Colorado (4-1 in the PAC12) gets embarrassed by Texas, who immediately fires their coach.
  3. Listened to about 15-20 minutes of Rush this morning. He spent the entire time talking about Republican strategies on January 6 that could subvert Congressional certification of the election. Just a laundry list of possible tactics... "If that doesn't work, then McConnell could just refuse to call for a vote." Etc. A couple times he seemed to slip up and accidentally use the phrase "overturn the election." You know... just a good old Medal-of-Freedom recipient fomenting treason.
  4. Apparently we need to constantly ask Georgia where they want to be.
  5. Have you ever seen the Greg Guttfield (?sp) Show on Fox? An attempt at comedic social commentary, marked by a profound lack of jokes, and a panel that painfully tries to be edgy and outrageous -- all of whom are clearly instructed to laugh at one another's whiffs. Plus the smug host and his nonstop punchable smirk. It's a fucking beating... much worse than the worst "Morning Zoo!" radio you've ever heard.
  6. All of the "rules experts" can suck it. Utterly worthless.
  7. I've been hopeful that Washington could be a contributor at WR. So far, one target, zero separation, one badly misjudged ball. Disappointed.
  8. Catching up on thread... so probably pointed out several times... Two series in a row with 0 Bijan touches. Mensa.
  9. Love this idea.
  10. ...and center.
  11. Yeah, this made me crazy as well. We played in a lot of 1-score games, where one big play one way or another could be the difference in the game. And it seemed like there were a lot of critical second-half third downs where we didn’t feel the urgency to have our most skilled guys on the field. Targeting Money, Epps, and Schooler instead of Eagles, Moore, Smith.
  12. It’s all I own.
  13. We got 99 problems but an empty QB room ain’t one.
  14. The cash cab guy? Saw him at Comedy Cellar in NY a decade ago. He spent his entire set complaining about a table of women who were talking. He managed to turn the entire room against him (most everyone in the room couldn’t hear the women... just him pouting like a toddler for 20 minutes). He was obnoxious.
  15. In fairness, Twitter trolls have sort of broken through their historic glass ceiling, and now they can be president.
  16. Remember when Trump had over 100 million to spend on the inauguration (roughly double what's usually spent), and tens of millions of dollars just sort of disappeared into untraceable shell corporations? Earlier this year, Trump had a billion (!!!) dollars to spend on his re-election campaign... and tens/hundreds of millions vaporized into that same ether. Now we see another 42 million from the RNC to Junior's corporation. In the month since the election, Trump has raised over 200 million (!!!!) by urging supporters to overturn this massive "fraud." We are the most banana of all the banana republics. The amount of straight-up-cash that has been diverted into offshore accounts by Trump and his insiders... it's just mind-blowing. BTW, a few weeks ago I was having a political discussion with a Trump-supporting friend, and I asked him to tell me the things Trump has done as president that he supports. His answer? "He drained the swamp."
  17. Are you serious? With a 14-point lead on the road, an already-depleted O-line that just lost another guy, and 50 seconds to kill? Herman has stepped on his dick repeatedly by trying to swing it around in situations similar to that (just before half vs OU in CCG), where the smart thing to do is go to halftime.
  18. Klatt giving a reasonable explanation for not signing Vaughn is sooooooo fucking refreshing. Every week, year after year, decade after decade... the announcers want to tell us what player on the other team "WANTED TO GO TO TEXAS!" A school can sign about 20. There are going to be good players from Ohio who didn't get to go to Ohio State. Ditto for Alabama, Clemson, LSU, etc. Sometimes beating up a team for missing out on talent... they deserve to get second-guessed (e.g. Texas going half a decade with the worst QB room in the conference... Swoopes, Case McCoy). But a lot of the time it's bullshit, like when you wonder aloud how Texas could have let Vaughn get away.
  19. Seems like 3rd and 1 ought to be wildcat with RoJo and Robinson in the backfield. Maybe a jet sweep look with Josh Moore coming across the formation. That seem WAY more dangerous than whatever dog shit we try to run.
  20. My reaction to this post is somewhere in the range between “I agree” and “You’re totally wrong.”
  21. My conservative friends are looking for a "news" source that will confirm their belief in widespread election fraud. My president is looking for an AG who will be a more active participant in putting out that propaganda. Weird world. And dangerous.
  22. It's surreal, isn't it? A seemingly drunken and uninhibited narcissist babbles about his 1960's childhood and 1970's career (while the camera shows a basketball game).
