  1. hits close to home
  2. Why are there no Swangas on your war chariot, sir?
  3. Starts at 8:00 CDT, right? I think I'll take a gummy around 6:00.
  4. We had a great time and no issues before or after, but my girlfriend is a UM grad and was dressed head to toe in maze and blue. We mostly got a lot of "House divided" and "What's the bet?" jokes, but that was the worst of it. We parked off Scio Church road on the other side of the High School, and I was the only guy in Burnt Orange I saw until we got to the tailgate lot by the school. I could see it being worse if you walked through campus with all the students.
  5. When the ex and I were first married (early 2000's), we went up to Hartley for Christmas to visit her grandparents. Her Aunt was the school secretary (K-12 in one building) and was lamenting that they would probably be closing down the school district soon, and all the remaining kids in Hartley would have to bus to Dalhart. She was upset because she and her husband were nowhere near ready for retirement, and she would have to find a new job in Dalhart. The grocery store and all the other mom & pop business were in the same boat. Just hanging on by a thread. Then "Big Dairy" moved in. (Farmers die and their kids sell out because they don't want to farm in a dying town) Fast forward 15 years, and the last time I saw her Aunt before my divorce, the school was busting at the seams and they were talking about adding portables. They couldn't hire teachers fast enough, and all the local businesses were doing well. There were even a few new restaurants in town. Was she happy about keeping her job and the town getting a new lease on life? Of course not. She was lamenting how it was "ruined" because she had to hear Spanish at the grocery store.
  6. I got home from the game late last night. Girlfriend is a UM grad and grew up in rural Michigan about 45 minutes NE of Lansing. We spent a couple extra days on the trip so she could visit some family and such. Man, rural and small town Michigan is more enthusiastically MAGA than any place I've ever been. Tons of MAGA flags and Trump Vance campaign signs in every yard. We met a couple of her cousins for dinner Friday night in the slightly larger town next to where she grew up and their entire "town square" area looked like the 4th of July, except the flags were all Trump and FJB flags. If you just glanced at it, it looked like "Patriotic Small Town USA"...but it was 100% MAGA
  7. I played beer league baseball with him for several years in the '90s.
  8. nicely done! Those look great. I got into it for a while, but after I built all the rods I'd ever need and even gave away a few, I sorta lost interest in it. Now I fly fish almost exclusively and got into tying most of my own flies instead.
  9. He's certainly not addicted to face cleanser.
  10. When the "Patriot Coffee" and "Black Rifle Coffee" guys meet outside the Trump rally.
  11. I saw a Heritage Blue one pulling out of my neighborhood yesterday. Looked like it had a small lift or level and black aftermarket wheels/tires. I might have came a little bit.
  12. Game is in Ann Arbor. No way Big Gretch lets him skulk around, and they've got two D senators that I presume hate his guts.
  13. I’d vote for a still steaming pile of dog shit over Cruz
  14. Yea, looks like they've got all the issues worked out.
  15. Williamson has a super entrenched R county machine, but tends to vote bluer in national and statewide races. I was really disheartened at the candidate quality of most of the commissioners court and county judge races last cycle. We flipped the Sheriff's office, but that had more to do with Choty being a wholly unlikeable and corrupt prick than the greatness of Gleason as a candidate.
  16. if they'd spent 20% of what they spent developing a new engine making the iForce V8 more efficient, it would have been better for everyone.
  17. Hello friend....
  18. SMCI Delays annual report
  19. wrong thread
  20. Nissan CVT transmissions are notorious pieces of shit. Of the 3 you listed I'd probably try to find the newest/lowest mileage RDX.
  21. My 2017 Tundra is the best vehicle I've ever owned and I plan to keep it a long, long time. If it got totaled today, I'd probably replace it with the newest 200 series LC I could find or the lowest mileage V8 Tundra.
  22. This seems like a "When one door closes another door opens" kinda deal for ATACMS.
  23. dude, do you know how hard it is to stand out from all the other 5'7" losers on "The Right Stuff"?
