  1. He should keep doing the work outside of the DNC. Fundraise for young progressives and primary the worst of the geriatric Ds anyway. I'd send him some money.
  2. I "watched" two of my former high school classmates discussing the LA riots on FB yesterday. They went down some weirdo loser holocaust denier/blood and soil rabbit hole and one of them said "We were on the wrong side in WWII", and the other guy agreed with him. Both of these guys were in my advanced US history class, so they aren't morons. I told them both that was big talk coming from two fucking losers that still lived in their parent's house (one does) and had 5 DWIs between them. Then I blocked and unfollowed them on all platforms. Fucking insanity. The Lamar University library had (probably still has) the entirety of the Nuremburg Trials on film reels. One of these guys and I spent probably 8 hours across multiple days watching all the reels , and then did a group project on it. Now he's a holocaust denier and a part time "pastor" at some strip mall fringe Christian church.
  3. I'm in sales. If I stopped working no one would even notice.
  4. That's one of the more confusing questions in fishing, I think. I'm the same as you, cast with left hand, and reel with right. I always ask the shop to set up any new fly reel for "Right hand retrieve"...I think that's the correct industry designation. I also throw left but golf AND swing a baseball bat righthanded.
  5. Yes sir! But more than that, my grandfather lived on 11th ave in Port Arthur DIRECTLY behind the PA Gibson's. Middle school Pescado spent HOURS perusing the sporting goods department almost daily in the summers. There wasn't shit else to do, and Gibson's had AC. The gun department might have been the closest thing to a basement in SE Texas. I was there so much, the employees would ask me if they had something and where it was located any time a customer asked them. I was 100% certain that Gibson's would be my part time job when I got old enough, but it had closed by then, and became the Bogle Supply warehouse.
  6. If they're dithering away on a podcast or Fox news at least they aren't actively screwing us.
  7. Can't wait for the AI images of packed crowds with tears streaming down their faces because they're so happy to be in close proximity to dear leader
  8. No love for Scott Derry?
  9. Did this get posted and I missed it?
  10. That's me and KE. Pretty sure he's from McAllen or somewhere in the valley.
  11. Well off whites who leave think it's "fucked" because it's way more democratic than Texas. Remember when our governor flipped out because his own caucus wanted to put school choice on the ballot so Texans could vote on it? It 100% would have been on the ballot in California. Sometimes those ballot initiatives don't benefit rich whites, so it must be fucked.
  12. It's not like you can buy this sign, or a dozen similar on Amazon, Etsy, etc.
  13. got some thunder and drizzle over here by Garey Park, but that's about it.
  14. I'm appalled that "Approve" is in the mid-30s.
  15. Especially the one's who've never been farther away from home than a casino in Ok or La, or maybe a beach rental on 30A.
  16. Eh, that's a little extreme. But I would totally be on board with a law that says no one can start a new term in any federal office past 70. Mandatory retirement for Federal judges at 72.
  17. Too many words. Better make it a banner.
  18. Probably because they want the parents to describe the PJs? My cousin and I "found" a toddler once in Port A. We got to our rental late, get unpacked and get the house set up because everyone else is arriving the next day, and go to bed. My cousin comes in my room and wakes me up at like 2:00 AM because she thinks she hears a baby crying right outside. We go out, and sure enough there's a little toddler wandering around all by itself crying. My cousin ran down and tried to console him and I called 911, then went walking around the general area hoping I'd run into someone frantically looking for their kid. Didn't find anyone, but did see a house with the front door wide open. I hung out and waited for the cop to show up, because no way was I walking up to a strange house with an open front door at 2:00 AM. Cop arrives and I explain what's going on. He calls for backup, because he's not walking into that house either. Backup finally arrives, and they go bang on the door frame "Hello! Anyone home? Police department!" They finally roust the family and mom freaks out crying and comes running down to get the kid. No one got in trouble, but of course the cops had to search the house, etc. One of the cops was taking my statement for the report and told me this happens more often than you'd think. Families come down and don't think about babyproofing their rental. Kid wakes up in an unfamiliar environment, gets up and starts walking around looking for mom and dad, and ends up walking outside and gets turned around and can't find their way back home.
  19. Not as bad as Herbstreet calling OSU games, but close.
  20. I bet it's tough to find a real body guy (not just a fender swapper) under 50 years old these days.
  21. I agree, but If they’re going to make these kinds of plays reviewable, they need to place the cameras down the baselines.
  22. Anyone wanna bet these 700 are hand picked and vetted for their political beliefs and willingness to use violence against fellow Americans?
