  1. Pulling Hamels there is like going for it on 4th down and 10 from your own 35 yard line....with a minute to go in the game.   Sure, if you get it, you win...but it's not a high percentage play and if you don't get it, you're probably fucked.

Hope I'm wrong, but that felt like a bad decision to me...knowing what we have left in the bullpen.

  2. Whatever happens, I like bringing Hamels in.  And I've liked all of the pitching moves. (Though Lester maybe could have gone another inning)

You've held the Rockies to 1 run in 10 innings...the pitchers have done their job.

36 outs would be a bitch most nights.

I've spoken to the accountants here at "Monster.surlyhorns.Ukraine proxy" and I've been told we meant to say "9-12" outs.

I was also told to stop posting at 4am.

Everything is such a grind and they're trapped in making it more difficult than it should be, imo. Maybe it's the feeling of picking up slack for the pitching staff, but the staff hasn't been as bad as expected. Darvish was an absolute disaster, possibly keeping the front office from making an extra move, I dont know.

They need to get back to raking.

Agreed, feels like the pitching has been okay, but we rarely get that big hit with a guy on second and third.

You aren't going to win very many games scoring 1 run.

  5. After the all-star break, this team has been a bit 'off'.   I thought Almora Jr. played with noticeably less enthusiasm after not making the all star ballot...like he really took it personally.  Then Contreras went into an inexplicable tailspin after he DID make the all star team.   Russell seemed off all year-and maybe we found out why.   Bryant got hurt and can't swing his normal swing.  Darvish's injury hurt.   Strope's unnecessary injury at just the wrong time has even the most loyal Maddon fans looking sideways.  It hasn't been a lucky year.

But it's baseball and literally anyone can beat anyone in a 1 game playoff.   Might as well toss a coin.    A five game playoff with the Brewers would be tough.  Honestly, Counsell looks like the best manager in the league this year, with the creative things he's doing with his insane bullpen.  Where a ace starter gives you a big boost once every four games, Brewers' relievers trot out there every single night and lock down those last, crucial 27-36 outs.

where's the little whiny bitch 'vagbush at?

You seem like a cunt.  And not the good kind.

And if you'd like to neg rep random posts of mine, I'm glad to swap red numbers with you until I have to create a new account.    I couldn't get less of a shit.

  7. Another jump ball downfield ends up as an INT.

Gundy's got a three flaws, two of which we're seeing in this game.   Took a cowardly knee at the half, instead of going for a hail mary.  (We've lost all three games where he's made this 'can't lose if you don't try' call.)   And his "I'm a nice-guy loyalty" to walk-on senior QBs....wherein Cornelius has been very average this year, but is absolutely killing us today.

We beat Boise St, who was obviously over ranked. At least now I can readjust my expectations back to where they were before last week. Actually, better adjust them a little lower. Hope we make a bowl game.

Last week, OSU looked prepared with a creative game plan in all three phases.  Cornelius ran all over the field and made accurate throws when on the run.

This game, Cornelius has looked slow and has thrown roughly 50% of his passes into the dirt.  I mean, the WR's can't even go jump-ball it, if it's not within 10 yards of the target.   He looks like a guy who's been on the bench for 4 years.

Tech's looked pretty good.  Their offense looks legit.  I can't tell if they're defense is any good, for the fact OSU can't throw the ball more than 5 yards downfield.

i was trying to screen grab this.  hilarious.

UCF has gotten into ESPN's head.   I hope more schools do this kind of thing.    The thing about control freaks, as is the case with ESPN and college football, is they get really bothered when somebody defies them.

FAU and UCF trade touchdowns.   23-42 UCF in the 3rd quarter.

  10. ESPN fucks up their attempt to discredit UCF's championship with a 'claimed title' graphic on the Bama/UCF QB comparison.

Graphics guy accidentally put 'claimed title' on the Bama side of the screen.

    Ya just trolled yourselves douchbags.

yea if you need a commercial to try and tell everyone you are "in the club" then you are not in the club

I liked it better when they were saying  'we don't care about your club'.

UCF starting to pour it on  Looking unstoppable on offense.  34-17 UCF

I agree-- they can claim it all they want. I'm just saying that their claim would have a little more validity with a road win at a traditional power 5 team under their belts.

I wish this was true, but it just wouldn't have mattered.    'Validity' is in the eyetest of the beholder.

Big 4th down stop by UCF.  Negated by an offensive penalty.   FAU has a terrible kicker, I guess?

    ...now they're kicking it
