  1. Just one more reason college football needs an objective selection system (conference winners) for their playoffs. You take voting/opinion out of it, then announcers can stop politicking and just announce the fucking game.
  2. ESPN commentary is 95% politicking for the teams they want to see in the 4 team invitational. I honestly think they are given scripts before big games and told to hit the talking points, like every other politician. If you aren't one of the teams they've chosen, its pretty gross.
  3. TCU had to have that to stay in this game. That was an amazing catch by that WR. Wrestled off two guys, caught it, kept his balance to get into the endzone.
  4. TCU has looked like the better team most of the game. 2 defensive touchdowns (1 that should have been a safety) is the reason they're losing.
  5. Okay, good. Faith in refs restored.
  6. Ohio state getting a lot of breaks in this game. Pretty late flag to keep the drive going. Not sure how you commit 'forcible contact' with your ear hole.
  7. Prime time game delivering he excite, so far.
  8. Should have been a safety. Clearly see Ohio st guy touching the ball while out of bounds. Should be 5-0. May not matter, but the fact they didn't review that is...strange.
  9. I have no idea if TCU's offense is good or not, but if I was a defensive coordinator, I'd b terrified. Good luck calling plays on defense.
  10. holy shit TCU's offense is running plays fast.
  11. Impressed with the new defensive coordinator, Jim Knowles. Boise St. can score big and OSU held them to 21 points. That's not something you usually see from an OSU team. Receivers stayed covered and the D-line looked athletic and quick off line. Tackling was strong and not sure I saw any defensive penalties. Texas Tech scored 63 points today (QB threw for 600 yards), so the new look Knowles defense is going to get another big test next Saturday,
  12. OSU defense is much improved, which takes a lot of pressure off the offense/QB. You don't have to score 60 points, if your defense holds your opponent under 30. Coaches were very prepared. Defensive pressure, punt blocks, surprising QB run options...good game plans on offense/defense/special teams.
  13. O-line pushing Cornelius into the endzone. 43-21 OSU with 4 minutes to go. Big win for OSU. Beat a solid, ranked team by 3 touchdowns (most likely)
  14. Justice Hill with manly run. Stiff arming guys down the sideline. Looks like he stepped on the sideline, so no TD. But that run was likely the dagger.
  15. Boise St. with a do or die 4th down play. Boise QB dodges a tackler and tosses a TD. 34-21 OSU
  16. Second blocked punt. This one taken in for a TD. That's good coaching to see a slow punt play in the film room and turn it into 14 points during the game. 34-14 OSU. 5 mins to go in the 3rd quarter.
  17. Cornelius makes up for the overthrow last drive with a couple of really nice plays and decisions on this drive. Stoner takes a quick slant to the house. 27-14 OSU with 6:40 to go in the 3rd quarter.
  18. OSU kicks a 48 yard field goal. Could be huge later. 20-7 OSU. 13 mins left in the 3rd quarter.
  19. There's the overthrow that costs you 7 points. Nobody anywhere near Cornelius and the WR was wide open. That hurts. And then Justice Hill runs for 40 yards...which is called by on a hold. Edit: Cornelius with a dart on the run. He definitely throws better on the run.
  20. Boise st. had 41 points at halftime in weeks one and two. (first week was against Troy, who just beat Nebraska) Boise St. has 7 points at halftime in this game. Still early, but it would appear, OSU's defense is much improved with the new coordinator.
  21. OSU defensive line in the Boise St backfield every single play. Really liking the new Defensive coordinator for OSU. Aggressive and knows how to use OSU"s underrated defensive line. 17-7 OSU at halftime. OSU gets the ball first in the second half.
  22. Great catch by Johnson to keep the drive alive. Boise St was not expecting all these QB runs. OSU down inside the 5 yard line again. edit: kicking the field goal. 17-7 OSU
  23. QB punches it in from the one yard line. OSU capitalizes on the punt block. 14-7 OSU
  24. OSU went all in the punt block and got it. Cowboy ball at the 7 yard line.
