  5. This is the way. Tone gets tolled off ever so slightly. Then ride the volume knob. I’ve never been able to get friendly with a compressor but I like the idea of it before the dirt. Can you post a pic of whatever setting you use to get the effect you describe?
  6. -15 ambient temp when I left the hotel this morning. I’m sure windchill was quite a bit lower. 75 back in phoenix today. So 90 degree swing.
  7. Weren’t all of our houses built on land that was just land at some point?
  8. So they cancelled my flight home tonight. Now I get to catch the 4am shuttle to catch my new 6am flight tomorrow. So fun.
  9. So far still alive. Can confirm it was indeed cold as fuck this morning though.

  12. It’s been that way in real estate forever. No one wants anything new near them to ruin their life. Not just the rich.
  13. Def rode around on station wagon vinyl seats in the Texas summers in the 70s
  14. Endeavor is one of my all time favorite series. Just so well done.
  15. Honestly I kind of like the idea of just bringing a guitar, small pedal board and a 1/12 cab.
  16. Sucks about Setzer. Monster player.
  17. I’ve thought about an attenuator. Might try that out too. I’ve heard the Fryette is really good.
  18. My buddy from Slow Roosevelt back in the day used to use the pre out of a high gain tube head like an Engle or Diesel or something into a Rocktron Velocity 600 and 4 4/12 cabs. Because he said no 100 watt tube amp was anywhere near loud enough for him.
  19. Ok so I’ve been kicking around trying a new direction on the electric side of things. I have a handful of awesome tube amps but they are just so goddamn loud. I usually use a 20 watt Boogie .22 Caliber+ head for band stuff but even with the drummer, full band, etc it’s too loud honestly. I don’t really want to go full modeler amp because, well, just because. Mostly because I don’t love having to dive into all the menus and settings. So I’m kicking around a Strymon Iridium or UA Dream 65 pedal into a Seymore Duncan Powerstage 170 or an EH 44 magnum, with a dirt pedal and maybe a reverb pedal. All on one small pedal board, into a 1/12 or 2/12 cab. Internet seems to think highly of that sort of setup. Anyone have experience with any of these pedals?

    Michelin. Always.
  21. I had been very successful in purging the memory of the shittiness of the sound of my old Renown from my brain for a long long time. Thanks a lot. [emoji34]
  22. I think that’s his point
