  1. This is great. Thanks!
  2. In 4 years living on the lake full time I’ve pulled my boat out maybe 4 times, and the 11 years before that, my previous boat came off the lake zero times. I don’t expect to be taking it in and out once I get the dock/boathouse situation done. In reality I probably won’t put it in the water until spring so I think for now I’ll borrow a truck. I’ll be getting my son one in a year so I definitely wait. Good to hear just about anything should work. It just looks much bigger and the trailer is huge compared to my old boat trailer. Between the boat and dock updates, I wasn’t looking forward to also buying a truck.
  3. This is really is the way to go for the time being. I live in the country so it’s not that easy but maybe I can talk to one of the many truck owners on my street and ask if we work out an arraignment. I’ve been borrowing my neighbor’s truck for my towing needs to date but I didn’t think it was adequate for this new boat.
  4. Also - the trailer is pretty big, so it could be 5,000 lbs combined?
  5. Perfect - it's just bigger than any boat I had previously. I wanted to make sure I got something that got it out of the water no problems. It will be on a lift in my boathouse most of the time but will need something to get it in and out while I reconfigure the dock/lift I currently have.
  6. I need a truck to pull a boat (3,400 lbs + trailer), not often, so I don't want to spend a lot of money as it will not be used often. Any suggestions how to best search and locate such a vehicle? I've never had a truck so I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. Thanks - I don't see the rates or qualifications at keystone, but it doesn't matter since I'm not a resident of the select counties. I've found some higher rates but there are often caps.
  8. CapitalOne360 has all my money parked in it, the 360 MoneyMarket is paying 2% interest, which is pretty nice. I haven't seen a place with a higher rate.
  9. I finished 3rd in my session. The top 50 were paid. I did not finish in the money. I'd do it again if my entry is free. i would not want to push that button for longer than 2 minutes.
  10. Ok - so they assign you a machine and you push a button for 2 minutes. 12 players at a time.
  11. I did play craps for 8 hours last night until 5am at the same table.
  12. I did play craps for 8 hours last night until 5am at the same table.
  13. I think it is $10k in prize money, top prize $5k.
  14. That’s I really good point - I may end up bailing if it sucks. I hate slots anyway but figured it was free so why not.
  15. I'm playing in a slot tournament tomorrow in Shreveport. Has anyone ever played in one of these? I never play slots at all so i'm not sure how this is supposed to work. Do I have to pick a machine to play or do they assign me a machine? I hope they assign me one because I wouldn't know which to pick. Any help would be great.
  16. Doesn’t seem to be working - thought there may be a trick or something I’m missing. I seem to have both the tv and receiver set up for it to work.
  17. I recently had to replace my tv and I got a smart tv with roku built in. Previously I had a stand alone roku in an AV closet attached to an AV receiver that was connected to the TV. Now my tv has the roku built in so I need to get sound from my TV back to the receiver so I can play through the speakers. I think this is what ARC is for but I don’t understand how it works. I think I have it turned on for both the tv and receiver. Anyone familiar with this?
  18. Court of 2 Sisters is terrible...skip it. It used to be good from what I remember a long time ago. We went around Christmas time and there really wasn’t anything good. It was very disappointing. So many other incredible places to eat.
  19. Looking forward to a detailed trip report. We are there for 11 days in July, half the time on the south side (Poipu Shores), half on the north side (Hanalei Bay Resort). Really looking forward to it.
  20. I sold my last house sans realtors. We used a standard TREC contract, i used contracts from prior house purchases as a guide. We lined up a title company and the title company handled everything. It was pretty easy. It helps if both parties are honest peeps negotiating in good faith. Both parties made out well in the agreement.
  21. The moon this past weekend was incredible.
  22. I like the sticks...and happy the service is good enough, even if pricey.
  23. yes, its paying $120 for 9 down when most people are getting 100 to 200 down much less. That's how it goes.
