  1. Apparently Tuitele has yet to schedule an OV to Texas. I guess that bare linebacker depth chart at USC is just too appealing.
  2. Shane with Golden & Bond would have been high flying. Bonds ankle was only banged up because of a wonky throw in the Cotton Bowl.
  3. The program has been missing a locker room dog at QB since Sam left. Sorrell has had to fill that role like Ivory Christian from Friday Night Lights. Take over Arch.
  4. Terry was arguably the best interior defensive lineman in one of the most loaded defensive line classes in Georgia state history. I don’t necessarily expect Ed Oliver production, but he will be a significant contributor. No doubt. He will play more snaps than the European midfielder.
  5. Torre Becton is going to put 25lbs on Justus easy by September. I cant see that weiner schnitzel committing to Texas when there’s freshman at Texas who will pass him in short order. He just flee’d Ohio State because of that same dynamic.
  6. I bet he doesn’t start over dogs like Justus Terry and Alex January.
  7. Not just any OU O-Line either, that 2016 line was pretty salty.
  8. Ed Oliver dominated OU as a freshman at 275lbs. If you got it, you got it.
  9. Some German kid isn’t starting over Justus Terry and Alex January. He’ll be a rotational guy at Texas too. He’d definitely get more snaps here though.
  10. I feel like Justus Terry is going to have an Ed Oliver type impact on the 2025 team. He’s going to be an elite contributor by conference play.
  11. Love Quinn. I think he’s a fine representative of the university and was a solid QB at Texas. That being said, give me Sam in ‘23 and ‘24, I bet we win at least one title. David Ash might have even been enough to bring one home. Hell, Quinn might have had a title if his back field could stay healthy. Like others have said, Quinn didn’t elevate the offense and he couldn’t mask really any inadequacies of the team.
  12. Louisiana recruiting is only going to get hotter with that hire. It also takes a load off PK.
  13. Based on his recent follows, looks like Georgia might throw their hat in the ring late too. Does USC even have a LB coach?
  14. Found some recent tape of AJ: https://access.qwikcut.com/highlights/66dfb0c59b1132034f489930 Take aways: He’s definitely got a good coach. He plays linebacker at a high level. Feet, angles, pursuit, coverage, etc. He looks sound and natural. He’s violent, yet controlled. He’s got a good frame. I don’t know what his speed tops out at, but he’s definitely moving much faster than everyone else in this Nevada HS district. Texas & USC offers says both coaching staffs see similar traits.
  15. That’s unacceptable. Two first round tackles. NFL TE. Couple of NFL caliber receivers. 3rd year starting QB. You should be able to move the ball with some level of consistency. That’s bullshit.
  16. We all knew what the deal was with the 2024 Texas Longhorns. We all knew mid-season. We all assumed it wouldn’t be enough. It wasn’t. Get over it.
  17. Nibblet is a fucking dog. I love his play style. Hopefully he’s a larger piece of the offense next season.
  18. Toa Katoa looks massive. I’m surprised Trinity doesn’t put out more big time trench guys.
  19. Bobby was saying that he doesn’t think Vernon gets drafted. I think that’s insane. I’d draft him in the mid rounds as a pure situational interior pass rusher.
  20. Watching Arch’s limited tape, it’s encouraging how quickly he seems to learn from Freshman mistakes. I think by conference play he’ll have established himself as one of the best QBs in the SEC. He’ll always be a big game hunter though. Wingo will breakout next season.
  21. How does Post-Dallas Turner Pile Driver Quinn compare to guys like David Ash and Sam Ehlinger? David was big, strong, and threw frozen ropes. His personality was a lot like Quinn. Sam was perceived to be a lesser talent than a recruit like Ewers, but he spinned the ball with more velocity and was a consistent chain mover. Sam was also a locker room dog. Quinn came into that ‘22 Bama game and threw an out route to X on the opposite hash on a line. I was convinced on that play alone he’d be elite. He then threw a dime to X down the sideline. I was certain he would be a heisman finalist at some point. Then his AC Joint gets crushed. I’m pretty certain that injury still haunts him to this day mentally and physically. In Sarks offense, I think both David & Sam would have had similar results with the 20+ NFL draft picks on the ‘23/‘24 Rosters.
  22. Quinn will be one of the most controversial Longhorns to ever put on the burnt orange. Quinn would make some unbelievable throws at times. In between those throws were tons of batted balls, confusing self sacks, the most wacky whimsical turnovers, and horrid wounded duck deep shots. The velocity of his intermediate throws seemed to decrease every season at Texas. I wonder if Turner permanently fucked his AC Joint, like some lingering arthritis. Also no matter the flow of the game, the guy would just go sit on the bench with a look as if he would rather be anywhere else. That being said, he won a shit ton of games and was always a great representative of the university. You really can’t ask much more of a Longhorn athlete. I think we’re all so critical of him at QB because of the potential of the last two teams, those were legitimate championship windows. It’s hard to imagine Sam not winning a national title at Texas with the 20+ draft picks on the ‘23 and ‘24 rosters. We didn’t need a hero, just a consistent chain mover.
