  1. I may be wrong, but I don’t think we’re the kind of team who can afford to look over a Kentucky. They’ve competed well against comparable QBs and defensive fronts. We didn’t exactly light up the worst secondary in the P5 yesterday.
  2. I don’t think anyone thinks Arch is objectively “better” than a three starter at QB. A better fit? Who knows. This offense is in dire need of a threat. Whether it’s a deep ball or a third down scramble. Offensive football is so dumbed down today that you just need a guy who can hit the open man. Hopefully Quinn can bounce back, he’s got some real tests the next couple weeks.
  3. “Let’s see what happens”. Even if it’s a first round exit? Fuck it. Im down for the ride.
  4. There’s a lot of hurt Longhorns in this thread in serious denial. Quinn has always been an inconsistent player, but it’s just been egregious at times this season. I want to see him successful as much as anyone, but our offense is pedestrian. My old man chewed me out on the phone today, “I’ve been watching ball 35 years, this mother fucker is no good”. I don’t agree with that sentiment entirely, but I don’t think his assessment is far off.
  5. I don’t know, things started getting a little sketchy when those defensive snaps were getting higher and higher. Once Norton and crew check in, that ball starts to move down field.
  6. Did you watch QB play at OU the week prior? Or during the UGA game? Or today vs Arkansas? Why are we all pretending that it’s not our reality? Because he lit up Michigan? Many QBs have at this point.
  7. That was a good team. This Hog team lost to an Oklahoma State team with 3 wins. I’m not interested in y’all’s mental gymnastics. I already said I’m along for the ride, I’m just disgruntled is all. My disgruntled meter is elevating watching another team drive on UGA, something we couldn’t do without personal foul calls.
  8. I enjoy the surly gaslighting after a sloppy win like this. Everyone and their momma knew if Quinn played the 4thQ like he did the rest of the game, we were heading towards a loss. He put together a nice drive and attempted to truck a third string Hog DB. Cool. This season is what it is. I’ll tag along.
  9. I don’t know about Aliens, but the history of humanity and earth gets really murky around the last ice age. “UAPs” were documented back then as well.
  10. My old man just called me and is chewing me out over Quinn. “Pull this sorry ass motherfucker. He’s holding these boys back”.
  11. So the narrative is shifting from extraterrestrial space aliens visiting Earth, to we’re sharing a planet with an intelligent species that predates modern humanity and possibly occupies our oceans? That actually seems more believable than the idea that there’s life out there who can travel at light speed through the cosmos. Considering Earths abusive relationship with the asteroid belt, it makes sense that an underwater civilization would be more resilient. Modern humanity is only about 500,000 years old, think of how many times they were probably almost eradicated by cataclysm. The “Flood” stories throughout religion were basically yesterday in comparison to the age of Earth. The combustion engine was in its infancy just 100 years ago. Civilizations have probably risen and fallen a dozen of times over. It’s hard to believe the assholes on this site are the pinnacle of high intelligence and ingenuity to ever grace Earth in its multi-billion year history.
  12. Crazy coming from the slowest dude in the WR room.
  13. The best team we’ve beaten is Vanderbilt. Many QBs have lit up that vaunted Michigan defense since Quinn. We essentially lost two first round wideouts, a first round RB, and an NFL TE. Our current cast is still elite for a college squad, but there’s more on Quinn’s shoulders. I don’t think Quinn is the kind of guy who can mask deficiencies like our weak zone blocking run game. Although when you look around the country there’s not much elite football being played. There’s not a squad putting it all together every weekend. So it’s hard to gauge what championship football looks like in 2024. I know we have a defense that can get the job done. special teams not so much. Offense has the potential to carry but hasn’t really shown it. Still, that flawed combo is enough to beat many of the teams we’ll see early in the playoffs.
  14. Poor QB and Special Teams play. Ole Miss punter was pinning Georgia deep, they couldn’t sustain long drives. Georgia was also getting after Ole Miss too with edge pressure and stunts, you just wouldn’t know it because of how smooth Dart was moving in the pocket.
  15. Georgias defensive line was in the backfield all game. Dart just effortlessly stepped up and avoided pressure. He also made great throw after great throw. Elite day from him.
  16. I don’t think Quinn could ever make a simple play like that.
  17. The criticism was deserved. There was still some sketchy play in the first quarter, but Quinn’s looked as good as he has in over a month. Maybe Sark needs to do a better job of warming Quinn up with throws that aren’t so predictable.
  18. I might be Ryan’s biggest fan. I always come away impressed by his limited snaps. He’s explosive and violent. He reminds me of Duvernay, but maybe less stiff.
  19. I don’t think it’s fair to the offensive line to say they “just need to be better”. They’re in a pretty bad position right now. They’re only permitted to a zone based run blocking scheme most of the game. Defensive lines aren’t concerned about Quinn’s mobility or deep ball game, so edges are recklessly racing to the backfield. Linebackers aren’t concerned about getting much depth in their drops so they’re waiting for screens. Watch the Florida game yesterday, the Georgia defensive line played contain almost the whole game.
  20. Michigan played pretty vanilla on defense, there was very little disguising coverage or blitzes. Maybe that afforded Quinn the confidence to play in the manner he did. He rarely stacks those types of performances upon each other.
  21. Wasn’t ‘12 Adrian Phillips and Kenny Vaccaro? Doesn’t get much better than that.
  22. I’m going to roll with this narrative to get me through the bye week. Although it feels like a false sense of security. Rooting for Quinn to light up the Gators, but I don’t see it.
  23. Blue and Wisner were warriors today. They maxed out their lil frames. They were getting lit up.
