  1. Sharma is legit. Huge win for Kenny Baker. He needs to develop Mitchell, Bryant, Bledsoe, and January. If we can land a couple more dominant inside guys, we’ll have a lot of talent on the inside next year. Not very experienced, but talented.
  2. I disagree. Snyder almost backdoor’d into multiple national titles at K State. TCU played for a national title. Art Briles turned Baylor into a national brand and they probably had the best team in the country in 2015. Gundy always put together a contender squad every few years or so. If Johnny wasn’t such a crash out lunatic, A&Ms 2012 team was loaded, they could have played for a title. Lots of instances of parity throughout the years.
  3. I think Lole was a great late find for the staff. If he can remain healthy, he’s a real player inside. Savea & Norton just look like bodies to me on film, but they’re grown man bodies. Washington won a lot of games last season with their BYU roster.
  4. We’ve already proven this past cycle we’re not going to shell out for a plus starter on the interior defensive line. Or any position. We’re pretty competitive with offensive weapons, but we’re also able to sell the offense and a first round QB distributor. Most schools can’t provide that. On the defensive line, all we really have is competitive NIL packages, our defensive line coach is still relatively unknown.
  5. https://youtu.be/CFeSegxtiJM?si=gj0gIbD9nV73MZt1 Ethan Burke Film. I’m curious how he’ll be utilized this season.
  6. I’ve been kicking ass with Kansas online. The Real Deal Devin Neal is unstoppable. I unfortunately had to run the ball down a fellow Longhorns throat just now, he sounded so defeated. Defense is challenging with Kansas because they don’t have any good defensive lineman. They do have good corners though, so I’m blitzing 75% of snaps and leaving them on islands. Most people fold with a hint of pressure.
  7. I just noticed Logan Parr is a bad ass IOL for SMU. He’s creating highways for me to run through.
  8. Quinn seems way more comfortable around these southern media members compared to the guys in Austin. A lot more engaged and expressing himself.
  9. Sark has been pretty open about wanting to run the ball at will since he was hired. Especially in predictable situations, like redzone trips. That just hasn’t happened. Teams were also keying in on inside zone RPO pretty heavily towards the end of the season. Talking points to consider.
  10. It’s not an off-season without a center discussion. How we feeling about Jake Majors? I assume we probably get the best version of him as a 23 year old 5th year starter. He’s battle tested, he’s been on the opposite side of some great defensive linemen in his time here. You also got a young dog in Cole Hutson who is big, violent , sharp, and ready for another starting shot. You got Hayden Conner who may also potentially be seeking a path back into the starting lineup. You have a young protégé in Daniel Cruz who everyone is excited about. Discuss.
  11. Sydir down to 350 is awesome. #99 being a solid piece in the rotation would really elevate this team. He could split snaps with Lole and Norton. It goes a long way in shoring up the middle going into next season too.
  12. When he was 14/15 years old. He grew out the position pretty quick.
  13. I don’t want to disrespect the young man by comparing him to an Aggy, but Cunningham reminds me Edgerrin Cooper. Long and physical linebacker who can play in space. I don’t see Nansen’s vision with Faraimo, maybe I’m still in a Big12 mindset. He just looks like another maxed out HS inside linebacker that will be pushing 260 by the time he sees the field. Would we put him at edge?
  14. I noticed our LT recruits are much leaner prospects than Guard & RT. I’ve heard RT are equally as significant as LTs in modern offenses. So what’s our philosophy there?
  15. Times have changed man. Folks don’t make fun of freaks anymore. The kids are pretty progressive too. As long as they have a chance to start on a well coached unit, they don’t care about cults or neurodivergent alternative cheer squadrons.
  16. The OnTexas guys have started to champion Ryan Wingo & Jaylon Guilbeau as two obvious off-season standouts. It’ll be interesting how they factor into rotations. Jaylon’s been that guy since his freshmen year though, Gary was adamant at starting him at nickel. He looked a step too slow to me back then, I’m curious how he’s developed after the knee injury.
  17. I think Lanning can handle the locker room dynamics better than Jimbos staff. Although he’s got to have his eye on that Florida job. That Miami game week one will be interesting.
  18. Beautiful. Needed that. Fuck that liver spotted mummy in Eugene.
  19. What a drag. There’s obviously some sort of disconnect or vulnerability going on here. Texas just went to the playoffs, had double digit players drafted, and will debut in the SEC this fall. Yet we’re losing Texas boys to Oregon? BIG10 Football? I don’t give a fuck what month it is, thats lame. Thats gross even. Imagine wanting to play in the cold in some of the most uninspired Midwest venues. Y'all don’t have to try to extinguish every comment posted about it, the football board is available. I am too of the belief that Texas will get theirs by Signing day, but I can also recognize the shortcomings.
  20. I think we’ll benefit from the average age of the unit being like 32. Grown man strength played a big part in Michigan and Washington’s run last season. If Broughton could elevate into the vicinity of 2023 Alfred Collins, I think we’ll be a nasty group. Tons of length and ability across the entire line. I was watching Lole’s Louisville tape, he’s got a lot of quality tape against legit competition. Hopefully some of the young guys flash this season because this room will be decimated next season.
  21. I was watching TexAgs radio for a morning cup of Aggie tears. They brought on multiple current players. They were trying so hard to get these kids to say they were distracted in the slightest during the tournament. All of the players were just like “uh nah, we were locked in. Coach was too”.
  22. No Virginia? Great Uniforms, great regional recruiting, the ACC is full of pageantry, mini coliseum stadium, challenging P4, etc. I’ll be starting with Sam Houston. I believe I can elevate their program enough for a Big12 invite.
  23. The PS5 utilizes haptic feedback, I’d think EA would make use of it. What’s more immersive than college football? Home field advantage, fatigue, big hits, etc.
  24. I think you olds should go with the PS5. The controller has a ton of features that I think will enhance the gameplay experience if they utilize them.
