  1. Gerry was saying on OTF that Elkos recruiting strategy was a full court press for early momentum/commitments with an understanding that there will be plenty of deflections. Basically a numbers game.
  2. The WVU RB looks like a twitched up Tre Wisner. He would have been a great fit for the ‘24 offense but I don’t know if he’s what we’re looking for next season. Though he might be the best available in the spring window.
  3. His film is a bit underwhelming. Nice frame though.
  4. Apparently Jahiem White returned to WVU to play for Chad Scott. I wonder if we’d bring him in. He’s only 5’8 200lbs, but he is explosive and powerful. Clark & Baxter will need time to get up to speed.
  5. WVU 9.95er Crying About The Loss of Coach Scott
  6. Run game has held Sark back from two consecutive national title births. Quinn wasn’t great, but he was good enough to capture one. Better then that KSU transplant at Ohio State. Makes sense he’d want to bring someone in coming from a prolific ground game.
  7. Or said he could cover. He would account for at least one big coverage bust a game.
  8. Gerry mentioned on OTF that people close to the situation have told him Orphey is the Cornerbacks Coach. I’m curious of what that means for the rest of the secondary. Maybe a Joseph departure is also imminent. He & Gideon finally clicked this season.
  9. The casuals will still credit our ascension to Quinn. Sarks staff has been recruiting and developing at an elite level. Dogs everywhere. I’ll always love Quinn though for his treatment of OU, Aggy, and Hog.
  10. Some of these swings aren’t even close.
  11. High fast ball bailing him out consistently.
  12. That second strike on Mendoza was nasty, almost made me throw up.
  13. Is Max Wright a swing tackle? How many tackles are we thinking of taking?
  14. He actually spent 2024 with the Las Vegas Raiders. Pete didn’t retain him after he was hired. So I’m assuming he’s fair game. If he’s willing to return to the college game, I think he brings a lot of what made Coach Choice Special. Relatively young, SouthEast connections, recruited & coached some great backs, and brings a ton of energy.
  15. Just go get another dog to lead that room. The RB coach is probably the least technical coaching role, it’s more about recruiting and instilling energy. I like the idea of bringing in another former NFL/College back. If the new guy can get the guys to hold on to the ball consistently, I’d consider it a win.
  16. We should have been airing that ball out with AD and X.
  17. A West Coast set in New Orleans just doesn’t work. Could have saved some money and threw Boosie out there.
  18. Justus Terry allegedly weighing in at 290lbs this week. I think the speculation of him starting outside was exaggerated. I bet he’s a well put together 300-305lbs by September. Nick Brooks is also slimmed down to the high 320’s and moving great, OTF think he makes a run at backup RT. Sarks staff seems to evaluate at a high-level, not too many misses.
  19. OTF has mentioned Nick Brooks quite a few times this off-season. Apparently he’s been pretty impressive in off-season workouts. They expect him to be a potential contributor to the depth at RT sometime this fall. He moved really well on tape at 350lbs, I bet he’s pretty agile at whatever weight he’s at now. He looks well put together.
  20. I wonder if our whiffs at off the ball outside linebacker in the ‘25 class may influence a spin down of Jelani McDonald. Not permanently, but in obvious passing downs. He’ll probably play closer to 215-220lbs by September. Right now it’s Hill, Lefau, Smith, and then the two freshman. Unless the Arkansas LB is playing off the ball.
  21. Damn i butchered their names lmao
  22. Jeff also mentioned Joey Thomas as a wild card. Assistant DB coach who left with Choate to Nevada to take full-time DB coach role.
  23. Jeff Howe had some interesting suggestions on OTF for the hole left by Gideon: 1.) Jeff Hayward - Oregon State Defensive Coordinator. Coached DBs with Sark at multiple stops. 2.) Carl Scott - Seattle Seahawks DB Coach. Coached DBs with Sark at Alabama. 3.) Ephraim Banda - Cleveland Browns Safeties Coach. GA under Duane Akina. From San Antonio, TX.
