  1. That 4th down against Kansas State was money, even if he contributed to the game being that tight. Saved the season. The finger point to manipulate the linebacker, and then the ice rope rocket. He definitely flashed in his starts. The fanbase is too squirmy to appreciate the progression of a young QB in high stakes games, but he showed some good things. I hope Arch is the superstar the analysts think he is, it’ll make for probably the most polarizing QB battle in the country come Spring 2024.
  2. That’d be ideal if Quinn can go. I think TCU is a team we can beat with Maalik though. As inconsistent as he is, he keeps the box relatively clean for our backs.
  3. I was on a hiking trip in the Sierra Mountains this weekend, so I just had a chance to watch the game. The screen pass interception is inexcusable, but not a play that’s hard to imagine a freshman under pressure to make. The close-call dropped picks are definitely concerning, but our starting QB has had quite a few of those this season as well. I think Maalik made some really solid plays, just missed on others, and made some dumb mistakes as well. Thats kind of what we were expecting though right? I think his overall comfortability and awareness will improve each week. If Quinn were to go down again, it’d be nice to play a QB who’s played some high stakes college snaps. I think Sark made the right call, we all knew the whole team would need to rally around the back up to keep pulling out these wins. I think it’s a bit irrational of you all to believe Arch could game manager us to an undefeated record with an offensive line that’s struggled in run blocking at times. As inconsistent as he’s been, Maaliks deep shot ability has kept the box cleaner than I thought. He has to eliminate costly turnovers. Let’s see if he can improve on the road. History says don’t count on it.
  4. Man, if we can make it to the show, we’re taking it. A whole month to get healthy and Sark in the lab cooking up some wizardry concepts.
  5. Maaliks feet were his worst attribute today. His feet were so clean in the Spring game. The Mormons body slammed the mechanics out of him early. Though I think he showed a lot of promise. He’s got a real challenge ahead of him this week.
  6. Maalik’s day went about as expected. There’s a lot on tape that he can improve on. I think he’ll improve week to week. KSU is going to be a roller coaster, lock in.
  7. The NCAAs not going to do shit. Joe Brady was pretty vocal about Brent Venables on his way out of LSU, nothing ever came of it. Brent has a reputation of it. Hell, his defenders were flat footed in the Cotton Bowl sitting on routes in the first half a couple weeks ago.
  8. Tucker’s head down pussy walks to the dugout are embarrassing. Chin up bitch.
  9. They should have just kept running crossers with those Caucasians fellas.
  10. They’re not running Gabriel nearly as much as they did in the Cotton Bowl. They can’t run straight up on any Big12 team. That patchwork Frankenstein line couldn’t open a hole against Westlake.
  11. OU is still a one dimensional team that can’t run the ball to save their lives without the gimmick draws & counters. No way they make it to December undefeated. What a dumb loss.
  12. How many times are yall going to make me read this statement in this thread?
  13. That breaking ball must be nasty as fuck, because it’s nowhere near the strike zone when it hits the glove.
  14. I think you’re giving them too much credit. They basically utilized Wyomings gameplan, except they had the depth to maintain it throughout the game. At the same time we’re flat openers & one of the worst redzone teams in the nation. I think championship aspirations should be muted till further notice.
  15. I’m about as rational of a fan as I’ve ever been, but I can’t get over how stupid that loss was. I’m not even confident that OU makes it to the title game unscathed.
  16. This is a tough one to swallow. We didn’t deserve it by any means, but our D+ performance was almost enough. We weren’t as prepared as them, we didn’t adjust quick enough, and we didn’t make the plays as often as them. That is a rough reality. They’re a good squad that’ll probably be in the title game, but they’re not dominant. Fuck it, it is what it is. Quinn showed me a lot today, if we can get healthy, we’ll be where we want to be.
  17. I think PK thought the D-Line could win straight up, and protect the sticks. Once Catalon went down, the outside stuff became much more viable. Having Watts & Catalon would have been nice for this matchup. At the same time you have to give credit to OU for effort. There’s no reason why Lil Stoops should be successfully setting edges consistently.
  18. Definitely a ton of effort issues. We played like shit, but OU wanted the game more. Their WRs were always looking for a hat. Their defensive line brought it every snap.
  19. Venables looks like a bitch. Hands in his pocket, scared posture, stumbling over his words etc. Tighten up pussy ass nigga.
  20. Stewart has a striking resemblance to that demon from the first Insidious movie.
  21. Quinn is a pretty great distributor of the ball, but I don’t think he’s quite there yet as a true difference maker. Drives stall if execution isn’t perfect. He is sort of on that CJ Stroud development curve. CJ didn’t really turn it on until late into his 2nd year at Ohio State.
  22. I know Dykes took the Frogs to a national title, but their defensive personnel looks unrecognizable this season. They look weak. Patterson always had dogs at every level of the D. Hodges & Newton are the only ones left.
