  1. Wife and I got our boosters yesterday (we got our first shots back in February). Almost 24 hours later and my wife has no side effects at all, other than sore arm. I have sore arm, but I also feel tired today. It may just be because I have not been sleeping well lately. My 12 year old received both of her Pfizer shots back in August before school started. No side effects at all, other than maybe a little bit of a sore arm. My 9-year old got her first Pfizer shot yesterday. Her arm was sore this morning. She was not happy about that at all when she woke up. She said "I HATE whoever it was that started this whole thing!" She was trying to get out of going to school at first, but I wasn't letting her stay home because of a sore arm. Once the 9-year old gets her second shot on December 6th, the entire family (other than a few conspiracy theorists on each side) will be completely vaccinated.
  2. Just stumbled onto this show last Tuesday. I had never heard of it. A week later, and I am all caught up. This is the funniest show I’ve watched in years. I haven’t laughed this much in a long time.
  3. Can’t predict score for tonight’s game. Will this be fixed prior to game time, or do we need to put our predictions on here?
  4. I’m fine with it. I have always had fun in Lubbock. I didn’t realize so many hated their fans. I did get nachos thrown at me when we entered the stadium on the wrong side one year and walked right through their student section. But I laughed it off. Of course half the kids from my hometown seem to go to school there, so I guess I have a soft spot for Tech.
  5. From the home of the nation’s largest downtown square. FIGHT!
  6. Had to drive to Wichita Falls for the Texas Cares test. I live an hour away, and this was the closest place that does it. My wife and I went yesterday. Entire process took 3 to 4 minutes (including taking a piss upon arrival). Test result: Me - Pfizer second shot was on 2/28, 606 antibodies, no prior infection, age 42. Wife - Pfizer second shot was on 2/28, 222 antibodies, no prior infection, age 40. Probably going in for 3rd shot next week. I feel I could go a bit longer to get to the actual 8 month recommendation, but might as well get it done. My 12 year old got her second shot two weeks ago, but I have a 9 year old as well. Our town is very anti mask.
  7. In for $10. Thanks for doing this. Ready to root for our TE's this year!
  8. City of Graham is giving shot 1 of moderna to anyone over the age of 18. No 1a, 1b, etc. This Thursday and Friday at the high school auditorium. Round 2 will be the week of April 5th. If any of you surly live near Graham and have not been vaccinated, this is your chance.
  9. Got my 2nd Pfizer shot this morning. It’s been 9 hours, and only a sore arm so far. I hope I didn’t just jinx myself.
  10. Got first shot yesterday. In Henrietta, Texas of all places. Somehow this town of about 3,300 is a HUB. And it’s the closest HUB to me, even though it is 70 miles away. They received 975 Pfizer first shots last week. I called them on Friday. The said Monday and Thursday there were giving out shots. Just had to be over 18. Wife and I got in line at 8:40 am yesterday. It was literally over mike long. It was a drive through. Finally got our shots at 1:15 pm. It was run poorly. They are now making sure people are 1B. But they are receiving another 975 shots this week. I hope the process is a little quicker for my second shot in three weeks. From the time I left home, til time I got back, entire process took seven hours.
  11. Thanks! That worked! finally I can read all the boards again. Thank god! My children have been getting on my nerves the past three days. Now I can ignore them while reading surly.
  12. I’ve been having trouble since Wednesday. The site is slower than it has ever been. Also half the board doesn’t open. Football board just goes to a blank screen. So does recruiting. At first I thought something big happened Wednesday and that’s why it was acting that way. But it’s been going on for three days now. can someone help me out, please? I’m on safari on my iPhone.
  13. I’m in an 8 team fantasy football league with my two sons and their friends. Other than me obviously, they are all 19-24 years old. I’ve gotten 5 of them to vote so far. None have ever voted before. They all voted Biden. I’m still working on the the other two. We may be the only blue votes in this dark red county, but I’m trying to do my part. By the way, I’ve never voted a Democrat for Pres. Always Libertarian. Can’t believe I not only voted for one, but am actively recruiting others to do the same.
  14. Other than a few judges here and there, and Beto in 2018, I have never voted Democrats. I haven't voted a lot of Republicans either since I always vote for the Libertarians on the ballot. Trump changed that. I voted straight Democrat today. If there was only a Republican, I did not vote. I can't believe how good it felt. My county is red as hell and will still most likely have Trump the 85% winner like in 2016. But I did my part to change that.
  15. Did the year. I don't post on here much at all, but I spend entirely too much time on here every day. Wife gets pissed at me when I am paying more attention to surly than her. Now she will be even happier to know I am paying this place. Thanks for all you do.
  16. Texas - 41 UTEP - 10
  17. From beautiful Graham, Texas.... FIGHT!!!!!
  18. Hello win column!!!
  19. There we go!
  20. We were getting an employee discount even though my wife hasn’t worked for AT&T for four years. I guess the Bob’s finally figured this out, and bill went up to over $250 today. Canceled service right when we realized. What is the best streaming service when football starts back up?
  21. Oddibe is my favorite all time name. I tried to talk my wife into naming one of our kids Oddibe, but she wasn’t having it. Was sitting in the outfield with wife and kids when Gary Matthew’s made that highlight catch off the wall. Well, I should have been. Wife and kids got hot and wanted to leave. We were losing, so I gave in. As we were just about out of the stadium, the crowd erupts. I knew we weren’t up to bat yet, so couldn’t figure out why they got loud all of a sudden. Get back to the hotel room and see the highlight. Damn it!
  22. I’m self employed and received my PPP funding on Tuesday. Thankfully. Side note... I’m glad I didn’t listen to a poster way up thread who said “Just apply for the EIDL and be happy with your $10,000”. I did apply for that as well, but looks like I would only qualify for $1,000. So, what do I need to do with the money? I do have rent and utilities. That part is simple. But do I simply write myself a check each week for the next 8 weeks to cover the payroll portion?
  23. This may have been mentioned up thread, but I didn’t see anything definitive. What about those of us who are self-employed? I don’t have employees nor do I have payroll. I thought I read that Schedule C filers can qualify for PPP. Basically, your “payroll” number is your profit. Is this correct? And if so, how do I prove I used the money to pay myself?
  24. That walk on 3 at the end. Oh my. Over hits by .5.
