Happy for BG and her family/friends
As the son of military officer who did not wear a uniform when working in hostile nations, I can sense some of the pain the Whelan family must feel when these prisoner swaps occur and Whelan is left behind.
With clandestine work, the family is part of the team. They know the risk. That doesn’t take away the grief, but it is part of the pride one has in serving a nation.

Services wages too hot for the Fed (even if below inflation rate).
The Fed is reliant on killing jobs to fight inflation.
Employers want resiliency in their workforce and willing to pay for a deep bench.

Quite a few of us expected this ruling. There are no special rules for individual criminal defendants (equal protection and due process). An exception for one would be an exception for all — and the judicial branch knows that would wreck the criminal justice system.
Judge Cannon needs an ethics investigation. Horrible misuse of her equitable powers.
Good decision by the Eleventh Circuit.

Doesn't the bill that passed the house have 7 paid sick leave days? If that's correct, will it pass the senate?
Two separate bills. The paid leave bill is looking DOA in the Senate. I don’t see a road to 60. We have seen this before.
I wonder if we will see a Wildcat strike by the members who voted against ratification. If that happens, it’s going to get ugly.

Unfortunately for labor, the politics of this greatly favor Mayor Pete.
I hear you, but it’s ludicrous railroad workers are not allowed sick days.

A bit harsh — and in light of the treasonous scum playing for keeps on the red team, there are bigger problems — but this is 100% shitlib gaslighting by the former Mayor of South Bend, Indiana.

Just a reminder, Stewart Rhodes, Josh Hawley, and J.D. Vance all went to Yale Law.

And of the $44 billion that Musk spent to read Grimes’s DMs, Apple got none of that.

We exist within an infinite loop; everything that has ever happened was always destined to happen and is destined to happen again, and again.
