  1. Aggies? We sent them to The SEC a decade or so ago so that they could be a stepping stone on our way to an SEC title our first year in the conference.
  2. Wtf? I keep clicking to watch online at ESPN and it keeps telling me “come back once event has started”
  3. Heard Klatt on Cowherd today making the case that one or two 2-loss SEC teams could be a surprise leave-out of the final CFP, using Texas as a prime example on the basis that their best victory is Vanderbilt. Felt like he thinks Texas needs another significant win.
  4. Kentucky feels like an old Big XII K-State matchup where, regardless of their record, you know they’re going to be prepared and should be a tough out. Their 4-6 , 1-6 vs SEC record might not suggest it, but a 13-12 loss to Georgia, 20-17 win over Ole Miss, 28-18 loss to Tenn suggest they get up for, and bring it against headlining competition, a trait of their historically bottom-feeder football program throughout The Stoops era. They are 1 loss away from practically being eliminated from bowl eligibility so will come into Austin with something to play for. At least that’s what I’m telling the players all week if I’m Sark ; ).
  5. Nothing is certain, but I would lean towards playing in The SEC title game being a disadvantage to the game’s loser given college football’s long history of rewarding team’s that lose early over team’s that lose late.
  6. 9-1, and going absolutely nowhere is how I felt after watching Quinn’s latest showing against Arkansas for a lot of the reasons described in this thread that I don’t need to rehash. We may not like it, but the schedule HAS been very accommodating. We’re 10 games in and you can legitimately say Vanderbilt is our strongest win. Our (2) road games in The SEC: Vandy & Arkansas so The Horns haven’t really been tested like say a Georgia who whooped us in our own house playing a conference schedule that sent them to Tuscaloosa, Oxford, and home to Tennessee while besting Clemson non-con while our best non-con is a now clear .500 Michigan decimated by last season departures. I wrote in the game-thread that Sark is in a tough place because it should be clear now that Quinn caps where this team likely can go against playoff competition, but game 11 is mighty late to be making a change. Maybe he’s waiting for that adversity to make the change (ala 1st half v Georgia), perhaps in The A&M game or playoffs, the path his mentor, Saban, took w/ Hurts and Tua in the national title game, but I can’t imagine Sark looking at Quinn’s performances since his OU return getting the program where he wants to step it up to next
  7. Texas/Texas A&M winner vs Alabama is most likely scenario. If Bama slips up, Georgia would slide in (Georgia has completed their SEC schedule after tonight) https://bball.notnothing.net/sec.php?sport=fb
  8. I’ve got all kinds of questions on the offensive side of the ball. On the defensive side?……zero
  9. Silver platter here Quinn. Make us eat our words
  10. He might find himself in a position where his best option is to transfer for one more season. He might find his draft stock non-existent with Texas committed to moving on to Arch next season no matter what
  11. Saban (w/ Sark as OC) benched Jalen Hurts in the National Championship game. One wonders if student will become teacher as this season progresses to better competition?
  12. Tough place for Sark to be. Defense is elite. But any championship aspirations would probably require a change at QB he’s unlikely to make, and making that change in week 12 might be too late anyway
  13. Quinn Ewers is one of those QB’s where if you just look at the stat sheet, he looks pretty good, but if you actually watch him play, he comes off inaccurate, unconfident, and overdependent on the sideline calling the game. I hate to say it, but I think he’s holding this potential championship team back at this point, and I think the NFL will conclude the same when we see his draft position next April
  14. This Arkansas team has no business staying in this game with Texas. Do your job offense
  15. Pig not up to the task. Only our offense can keep this game close
