  2. All fair points that I can’t say haven’t crossed my mind, but with the program teetering over the edge of the 9th ring of hell, beggars can’t be choosers.
  3. Pretty much what I was expecting after yesterday’s games. I just wasn’t sure whether it would be Michigan or Georgia at #2.
  4. Sir, we’ve traced this new mutation of The Coronavirus to Austin, TX October 31 at Zero Dark Thirty. The virus protein spikes are coated in glitter, monkey saliva, and cocaine…….scary shit
  5. Start spreading the news…….I’m leaving today….. I want to be a part of it……Lubbock……Lubbock…….
  6. Cincinnati’s reward will simply be getting into the playoff. They’re not jumping Georgia with a 1-loss to Bama. Michigan?………it’s possible, but I doubt it
  7. I think Georgia and Michigan will be seeded 2 and 3. I’m just not sure in what order
  8. I thought that may have been a factor vs a Big XII champion Oklahoma State, but once Oklahoma State lost today, that went out the window
  9. With a Michigan loss tonight, the committee would have to choose a 2-loss 4-seed over a 1-loss Notre Dame. I don’t see that happening.
  10. I’ll ask you again. With a Michigan loss, which 2-loss team do you have jumping the 1-loss Irish?
  11. With a Michigan loss, which 2-loss team do you have jumping the 1-loss Irish?
  12. With a Michigan win: 1. Bama, 2. Georgia, 3. Michigan, 4. Cincinatti With a Michigan loss: 1. Bama, 2. Georgia, 3. Cincinnati, 4. Notre Dame Bama-Georgia rematch for the Natty, S-E-C S-E-C S-E-C style
  13. Don’t forget Big XII competition
  14. So far it’s Baylor who’s come to play
  15. I heard announcement will come just before OSU goes for 2 for the win and a CFP berth, just for maximum effect
  16. Big XII championship 2021……..Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, and Purple Wizard aren’t walking through that door……
  17. Almost went there myself 😁
  18. At the risk of rekindling decades old Simms-Applewhite debates, I’ll simply opine that while those records were impressive, those Texas teams were absolutely loaded with NFL talent of the staying power variety, and Simms’ overall performance fell miles short of some extremely lofty expectations, whether those expectations were fairly placed or not. Simms was THE #1 recruit in the country with pedigree
  19. Possible?….yes. Highly doubtful?…….absolutely. 11am?……well it is The Big XII
  20. Ewers made comments last year about why he chose to de commit from Texas along the lines that “the program had just been down for too long”. Could be his true reasoning or could just have been a convenient line to drop transferring for another reason he wanted to keep close to the vest. I guess the question is whether Sarkisian in his mind will change that trajectory, and if he feels strongly enough that’s the case to take a chance he wasn’t willing to take barely more than a year ago. Or maybe his one year at Ohio State was enough to convince him that he needed to downgrade his expectations of himself in order to get on the field. There’s a lot of data points along the spectrum between “bust” and “generational talent”. Touted generational talent out of high school has also produced on field results all over the spectrum. Trevor Lawrence was mentioned earlier. Trevor Lawrence went to one of the hottest two programs at the time (Clemson) and proved too good to keep off the field as a true freshman that by mid-season he sent starter Kelly Bryant to the bench. Here at Texas we’ve had a large sample of highly ranked high school QBs from Chris Simms to Vince Young to Garret Gilbert. How did that work out? It took Vince the better part of two seasons to prove undeniably that he should be on the field against the likes of Chance Mock. Simms was decent, but never lived up to the hype. Gilbert ended up being cuttable. Life is like a box of chocolates, but if your program is hitting the all-time lows as this Texas program has been for quite some time, you’ve lost the ability to have your pick of the best pickings available. If an opportunity like Ewers falls in your lap for whatever reason, you take it regardless of repercussions for the Manning recruitment, etc.
  21. F—- it….it’s only money…..
  22. Ewers or Manning?
  23. Gym bags full of money left in lockers going the way of the dinosaur then?
  24. Give PK Mackovic’s old office and hire Patterson as DC. Problem solved
