  1. Jace must be an aggy law grad. They only teach the assumption of risk concept in a “torts against farm animals and your best legal defenses” lecture.
  2. Sooo, I just did this for shits and gigs. I could only find the fifty-minute condensed version embedded below on YouTube (no full game). So lots of the regular sideline shots (during short timeouts, etc.) are not covered. That said...think there might be something here. Not the best quality video, but there is one guy I noticed that looks a hell of a lot like Stalions to me. He is wearing grey shoes, similar to if not the same as the ones worn by the "Stalions lookalike" in the CMU video. I didn't count a single other WM staffer wearing grey shoes or anything other than (what I assume are team-issue) black shoes with white soles. I also haven't seen any other WM sideline staffer wearing the same long-sleeved tee that he is in. He is holding what looks like sheets of paper folded in half. In both of his appearances (at least the ones I could find), he is lined up on the 46 yard line on either side of the field. Which 46 he is on corresponds to what side of the field that MSU happens to be driving from on offense at the time. As for the highlighter-colored signal calls on the MSU sideline, in the one shot I could find of them in the video (25:28 mark), where do you think they were lined up? You guessed it, right around the 46 yard line. Below is a screenshot of the WM Stalions lookalike, video beneath that. You can find him in shots around the 26:11 and 40:49 marks.
  3. Updating the tally I originally did after the RRS. For each team that UT has played so far (other than Bama), this compares the number of offensive holding and DPI called against that team in their game against UT vs. in their seven games against non-UT opponents (and average flags per non-UT game). Based on this, UT games against opponents other than Baylor and Kansas were all statistical outliers.
  4. Also includes: chastity cage 2014 FSU playbook (certain pages omitted) cowboy boots (size 6B) 44 Farms coaching headset (non-functioning) burner phones (numbers for John Sharp and Looch on speed dial) vintage KKL undergarments tickets to 2023 TaxAct Texas Bowl, subject to team's tummy-ache status Does not include: key to chastity cage career ambition; self respect comb, razor or other personal hygiene products functional OL wife
  5. Respectfully: “Yes, the game would be finished if it pushed late,” BYU spokesman Brett Pyne told Yahoo Sports via email. “A game involving BYU that starts on Saturday will be played to its completion if it happens to extend past midnight.”
  6. His LinkedIn says he is now a Sales Executive at ICE (Intercontinental Exchange). Glassdoor estimates for the position are $210K/year all in. Though half of that is attributed to bonuses and commission (i.e., Hamm actually being good at his job), so, you know, probably safest to not assume he's actually getting all that. But Hamm don't give a shit, inflation ain't exist in Conroe, and $105K is enough for the six-figs badge!
  7. So, just purchased some tickets to the game from a resale site. These are the tickets that came back: they have to be printed out and look very bush league. Was hoping the surly hivemind could confirm: Mickey Mouse production by the UofH tickets department, or I got ripped off?
  8. Maybe the real Wingo is the friends we made along the way.
  9. Oh shit, we’ve got ourselves a good ‘ole fashioned source-off.
  10. Correct. I believe it was Patrick Hudson that signed (but later got out of) his Baylor NLI and then flipped to Texas. The man responsible for the Silsbee, TX navigation talk. Feel like he'd be in the list of productive "steals" if he hadn't been so snakebit with injuries.
  11. Out of curiosity, for each UT opponent other than Bama, I tallied the flags they received for holding (offensive only) and DPI in their five games against non-UT opponents. Breakdown below. Small sample size and all, but based solely on this, Rice and OU appear to be the only outliers. Rice Holding: 4 total (0.8/game average) DPI: 6 total (1.2/game average) Wyoming OH: 2 total (0.4/game) DPI: 2 total (0.4/game) Baylor OH: 2 total (0.4/game) DPI: 0 total Kansas OH: 3 total (0.6/game) DPI: 2 total (0.4/game) Oklahoma OH: 9 total (1.8/game) DPI: 3 total (0.6/game)
  12. I'm fairly certain that @LTtxfan might be the only other person in this thread, but here's an Athletic article (by Bruce Feldman): Texas is different, if not “back” — and opposing coaches and analysts agree
  13. Just finished him off. I can't help but participate in a good lunchtime fatwa.
  14. I'm quite familiar with the word and its uses, thank you. The way you're using it (the "capable of being compared" definition) is clearly not the same way that both I and the poster I was responding to were using it ("two things of similar quality/size/etc."), so maybe you work on reading comprehension before trying to grammar flex. I hope so, for his sake.
  15. UT and OU have the exact same Blue Chip Ratio of 70%. Their average star rating (247 composite) over the last four cycles is actually slightly higher. Could see an argument that their talent has not actually performed to potential at the level ours has. However, strictly speaking to on-roster talent per industry rankings, both teams are comparable.
  16. By my count, it's a total of 37 RZ plays this season. Or 36, if you net out one incomplete pass that drew DPI. Game-by-game summary below with totals, then broken out by RZ plays per drive (+ result of drive). Rice – 7 RZ plays 3 (FG) 2 (TD) 2 (TD) Bama – 14 RZ plays 7 (FG) 5 (FG) 1 (TD) 1 (TD) Wyoming – 8 RZ plays 1 (FG) 4 (TD) 3 (TD) Baylor – 8 RZ plays 1 (TD) 2 (TD) 1 (FG) 4 (Missed FG) RZ drives (14 total) resulted in points all but one time, and overall account for 53% of total offensive points (71/133) and 50% of offensive TDs (8/16).
  17. Assuming it's a 2024, best guess is that it might be one of the Tampa-area prospects. These guys have offers and visited UT at some point: TJ Moore (Clemson), Booker Pickett (Uncommitted), Jayden Jackson (OU). Solomon Williams also fits the profile, but expect it's not him given that his interest in UT is already very public - IIRC, he was going to visit last weekend.
  18. Wish this were the case, but it's simply not. One of his duties under the employment agreement, along with many others, is to "be responsible for the management and supervision of the football program at [ATM] . . . [which] include those duties customarily performed by a head coach at a major University" (Section 2.1). The definition of Cause includes "neglect[ing] or otherwise fail[ing] to perform his duties outlined herein as Head Football Coach in any material respect" (Section 5.1(a)). He would absolutely be fired for Cause if he just fucked off to Key West.
