  1. Dumb 'sip. Jimbo is pulling out all the stops and has orchestrated a celebrity pitmaster for the occasion. Lincoln Riley of course, and his sous-pitmaster Malachi Nelson. That's right, a sitting Heisman-corching corch and a 2023 Polynesian Bowl All-Star.
  2. Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit. Probably doesn’t rise to the level of being a contract for an illegal purpose. The bank robbery was just to illustrate on example (that’s what the “e.g.” in the parenthetical stands for). Hope that help clear things up.
  3. Contracts entered for an illegal purpose (e.g., requiring one party to rob a bank) are invalid contracts / unenforceable. In your hypothetical, an NDA requiring her to keep her mouth shut probably doesn’t rise to that level. That said, if she were to put or otherwise find herself in a situation where she was required by law to disclose any info restricted under the NDA to a governmental authority, she would be allowed to disclose.
  4. Do you lie in wait until someone brings up an opportunity, even the slightest of openings, to reiterate your feelings on the 2022 portal strategy for the umpteenth time? Why am I asking rhetorical questions?
  5. Well, confirmed I was tracking the right chopper all day in the 2024 thread. My employer will be proud. Thanks for posting.
  6. Now that you say it...I think you're on to something. Today's flight path went right over Timpson, it was just one of the stretches where the site had spotty coverage/data on the chopper. Digging into the time stamps from the points it popped in and out of coverage, it made a roughly 30 minute stop during that stretch over Timpson. Interesting. Screencap below for those curious. Timpson is in the red handdrawn circle. Lines that are dashed black-and-orange are where coverage/date was lost (solid orange means consistent coverage).
  7. Slow work day, so update for the two people waiting with bated breath. The choppa left Longview and seems to have made a stop in the Jasper area. The site I use to track lost coverage for a stretch, so fairly certain about that but had to read tea leaves a bit. Maybe visiting Tyanthony Smith? It's now up again and on trajectory for Houston, which is where it left from this morning and where we know Sark was early in the week (visiting some Humble HS). Anyways, curious for shits and gigs to see if there are any other Twitter sightings of Sark/Gideon in Longview or Jasper today.
  8. Think I found Sark's helicopter. If I'm right, he's now at Peachtree HS in Longview (Dealyn Evans?).
  9. Embraer Phenom 100 (Tail No. N504TX) owned by the State of TX took off for flight from Austin to Houston right around the time Sark posted pics in question.
  10. I had honestly not seen any bonafide Bijan hate until this article by hater Daniel Kelly, which was in comments to the PFF tweet above . Said hater lost any shred of credibility when I saw he was a former NFL scout....for the Jets...and his assessment is that Bijan is second-round talent that "lacks any elite traits that allows backs to create yardage" and "is not elusive enough." A few (of the many) other WTF-worthy excerpts:
  11. The title and past contents of this thread doesn't even crack T50 in the surly hall of regardedness and terrible takes.
  12. Correct, according to this article: "Calipari's contract states that if the University terminates his deal then the University must pay a lofty guarantee," 247Sports wrote. "However, if Calipari voluntarily leaves, his contract states that he must give the University notice but there is no mention of a buyout or any 'liquidated damages' that he or a bidding employer must pay.
  13. Have posted this trick upthread as well but, skirting paywalls for articles on The Athletic and others (e.g., ESPN+) is as simple as (1) going to Archive.ph, (2) dropping in the URL of the article, (3) hitting "save" and (4) waiting for it to process. Here's a copy-paste of the article you wanted:
  14. Full article below. And pro tip for anyone who similarly unsubscribed from The Athletic when they decided to partner with Looch: go to Archive.ph, drop in the URL of the article, hit "save" and let it do its thing. Also works for other paywalled articles (ESPN+ etc.).
  15. That's rough, definitely sympathize. Not sure whether the book is closed on the matter but, if there's still a window, it might be worth doing your best to raise a shitstorm with shot callers within the admin faculty and exerting what influence you may have among past teachers and other parents that may be plugged in and have some political influence at the school. And if your son had a clean reputation/record prior to this, that should be leaned on heavily, as should calling into question whether the punishments beyond the bad grade itself (the club and citizenship stuff) are really fair and necessary tools for teaching what lesson is trying to be taught. Sounds like your son's HS is a private (as was mine), which I think are generally more open to considering the totally of a kid's situation and past behavior and subject to pressure/influence in this sort of situation. In my case, those things changed the outcome drastically. Anyways, last derail from me in this thread but feel free to DM me. Back to the regularly scheduled sideshow of CCB debates that will surely be resolved.
  16. Happened to me second semester of senior year of HS. Turnitin.com software determined that the entirety of my (rather long) paper had something like 3-5 sentences that shared some degree of similarity (want to say 40-60%) with those of public sources. Genuinely did not intend to plagiarize, best guess is I read a ton of stuff about the subject matter online and, through simple osmosis, similar ideas and/or phrasing made their way into a few spots of my paper. Anyways, teacher was a hardass and tried to flunk me. Only through strong backlash of my parents and other teachers did he end up conceding (gave me a C-). Went on to be a corporate lawyer. So I'm paid to write and half the job involves taking agreements from past deals and tweaking portions to work for the current deal - i.e., plagiarism. Maybe that tale could serve as reason for optimism (or despair, depending on your perspective) for your son!
  17. It's hyperbolic for emphasis, but equally absurd to taking the position that there is literally no potential audio recording that could exonerate.
  18. Fiancée: "Chris, it has been over three years. If you don't commit right fucking now that we will go to the courthouse tomorrow and make it official, I sweater god I will send you to the courthouse myself. You want to know how? First, I'm going to beat the shit out of you best I can. Then, I'm going to call the cops while I proceed to rough myself up. When they get here, I will show them the marks and explain my version of what is about to happen - let the whole world know you're a piece of shit woman abuser. I will drag your name through the mud with everyone we know, your family, and every media outlet that will listen. I will tell the court that you are unfit to be around your teenage daughter, and apply to be her guardian. I will ruin your your career, your relationships, everything I possibly can. You will lose everything." Beard: "K. You are literally insane." Fiancée: "Last chance. I am dead serious, you muledick. [locks door behind her]." Beard: "No." [tumbling/screaming ensues]
