Looks great! Spaghetti squash is a great substitute for pasta as well.
Interesting that you used cast iron for this. I've always avoided highly acidic foods in cast iron. Then again, I've found that a lot of the pearl clutching about cast iron seasoning, cleaning, and cooking is overblown, so maybe this is just another example.

Alright folks, keep up the good fight. I'm gonna call it for the evening. This isn't doing me any good.

This the game day thread?
GA looks rough but need to see more of Atlanta come in.
I don't hate where NC's at.
Too early to infer anything significant in the rust belt. Hamilton County, IN gets mentioned a lot as a midwestern suburban bellwether and Harris is running marginaly better than Biden there with 75% of votes in.
Yes, and you just came in in the 2nd quarter talking about the 1st drive.

Here's all the proof you need that Harris is a vessel of hope and positivity.
She made Hillary and Bill touch each other and smile for the first time since 1998!

So yesterday I closed on the sale of a house. Very long story--was supposed to be Mrs.LL's dream house, but interest rates happened and the timing and shit and now it just makes more sense to renovate the current house. So today, I have quite a lot of money sitting in cash in my brokerage account.
Here's the thing--Wall Street doesn't understand shit about politics. Mrs.LL was in finance for a long time, and ever since we've been together, I've always been shocked by how little Wall Street understands politics. So much of their business is dictated by what happens in Washington, but they understand fuck-all about it. And right now, Wall Street is expecting 1) a Trump win (and the inflationary and recessionary dangers that come with that) and 2) a period of uncertainty surrounding the outcome of the election as happened in 2020.
Based on everything we know, I strongly expect neither of those things. And I think the market is going to react very favorably to 1) No Trump, and 2) certainty (irrespective of who wins) when the race is called shortly after midnight CST. So fuck your prediction thread--I'm putting my money where my mouth is. When the market goes up 5% tomorrow on the strength of a definitive Kamala win, the first round at Chili's is on me.
Why Wall Street? Just put it all on Harris to win. YOLO!!!!!1

This sucks that the game thread isn't opening yet. Can we at least get one for Election day updates and shenanigans (it can be locked when polls start to close)? Or is that just what this thread has become?

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who saw the transparency of that Atlantic article. It's like it was written by LaCivita.
Note that Cheung didn't really deny it- just deflected.

I've seen a bunch of these, and they all involve doing something aggressive their assholes or genitals. Not "I'll donate to charity" or "I'll where a Harris t-shirt for a week non-stop." No. It's I'll shove a shovel up my ass sideways". I don't get it.

I can’t get into weeds buuuuuut internals look great, it’s the largest GOTV campaign in US history, Philly canvass lines have been a mile long and women have been undersampled in every poll and will break heavy for the one who didn’t brag about eliminating their rights (shocking!).
Also PA has 450k Puerto Ricans who fucking hate that man now and have been reminded daily about why.
Yeah, about that...
"On Monday, Harris will wrap up the campaign in Pennsylvania by holding rallies in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, followed by a concert in Allentown featuring rapper Fat Joe and a performance by Frankie Negron"
Where are these fellas from again?

When did Lady Gaga turn into Madonna?
My first thought was Marilyn Manson.
Just a bad picture though. I don't think she's changed much, really.

Lol. She'll take 4 flights, on a whim, to Siberia for a long weekend, but Staten Island and New Jersey are (ahem) a bridge too far.

My parents are also in the "none of the above" category. I have to think that, as dumb as it seems to me, there are many, many boomers who are in this category.

I'm old enough to remember a fella by the name of Jimmy the Greek who floated a similar "genetics- argument as Trump just did. He was cancelled before cancelling was cool- about 35 years ago I figure.

At this point, I'm convinced that he has no idea Fox is getting paid by the Harris campaign (or subsidiaries) to run the ads.
He knows, he just thinks that they shouldn't accept them. As for this specific comment from him though, he makes it clear (must not have written it), that he's speaking to the actual shows playing the ads as part of the "news" programs. As in "here's the ad, let's discuss".

Something just occurred to me. I've voted against Trump 5 times now- 3 generals and 2 primaries. I'm getting more and more optimistic that I'll never have to do it again.

There's a strong argument to be made that Harris/Walz left bushels on the field by not making a bigger deal about how Trump's tariff and trade policies in general will destabilize farm commodity prices.
As I'm sure it's been mentioned, if Harris is close in IA, it's a harbinger that WI and OH and PA are all really good.
@Al_4_ISU is this true? I agree that the tariff effect on farmers hasn't been much of a national argument, but what's it like on the ground there?
