  1. You can say that again. But I think you're wrong. Trump is not a strategic thinker. His ego will simply not allow the appearance that Musk is the one making decisions.
  2. This show is frustrating the hell out of me. I don't give a shit about Mechanical Vs IT. They're trying way too hard to make this an ensemble cast, like Walking Dead. But most of these actors are not good at acting, and their characters are two dimensional (the sheriff is a notable exception). I fast forward through every scene Common is in, and it hasn't made one bit of difference. Season 1 was good because they highlighted the mystery. There's plenty more of that to be explored in Season 2, yet they've decided to fill it with the tired old "fight the power" narrative. I'm not going to bail, but it's pretty much a hate watch right now.
  3. Different strokes I guess, but I find that unlistenable. To be fair, I tuned into her more recent stuff, and she is indeed, very talented. Clearly channeling Amy Winehouse. On the subject of kickass female leads, here's a new favorite of mine:
  4. Rank and file Brit cops don't carry. One dude had a taser though.
  5. I'm not super into Christmas movies and CGI dominant movies, nor have I liked anything that the Rock has done outside of Moana and Jumanji. For whatever reason though I watched this last night, and I actually liked it for what it was. My expectations could not have possibly been lower, but still. I doubt I'll re-watch ever, but it was kind of fun.
  6. A buddy of mine just asked about duck hunting in Cameron Parish, LA in January. Any thoughts? I know nothing about that area at all.
  7. Short answer?
  8. That's my general principle when I'm at the smoker/grill, but It's harder to say "it's done when it's done", when there are 4 or 5 side dishes being prepared based according to your timeline. Traditional BBQ is much easier for me because sides are generally cold, reheatable, or non-existent. I just had to tap the brakes on my turkey, which is fine.
  9. Yes. Cooked vs Raw. I thought you had both a raw and a Popeyes. Here:
  10. My comment was for Beantown, as it sounds like his is still in the bag. Your situation wouldn't concern me at all though.
  11. Kind of frozen= Mostly thawed. Toss it boobs down a sink of 40-45 degree water. Keep it at that temp by periodically adding ice or changing water. It will be fine.
  12. Yum. I can get walleye locally that comes from the Red lake Reservation, but that's already at a premium.
  13. Looks like someone walked into the wrong damn neighborhood.
  14. That's Chester, and believe me, he knows.
  15. Decent credits between the two screenwriters. The director directed most of these as well. It's going to be quirky. 2004: Shaun of the Dead 2007: Hot Fuzz 2010: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (the two screenwriters collaborated on this one) 2011: The Adventures of Tintin 2012: 21 Jump Street 2015 Ant-Man 2017 Baby Driver 2021: Last Night in Soho
  16. He does every other damn thing. Why not? I'm really interested how straight they play this. The last was very tongue-in-cheek.
  17. Cowboys, but his dad will be coach, so it's cool.

Whoa. Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. RIP.
  19. Here's a fun vid of Billy with my guy Cory. Hang on for the funk breakdown. It's so weird, but Billy killed it.
  20. Just scored some primo tickets to Cory Wong in St Paul next week. Haven't been this excited about an instrumental concert since Maceo Parker at Antone's about 25 years ago.
  21. I'm being absolutely serious here when I say that this is how I define the start of the holiday season.
  22. 98 yard TD pass by the Titans.
